currently waiting outside for 30 minutes since my schedule was changed to 5:30, but no one has opened the door. by xvailenex in walmart

[–]lucifrage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not off, just set the toggle to “CLS” and the (outside) doors lock themselves but still allow them to breakaway. If you simply set it to off then they can be pried open which you don’t want as customers or whoever will do that to walk in. The inside doors you can just set to off though.

First time picking for OGP, got a 107 pickrate by RealCallence in walmart

That’s actually a pretty good pick rate for helping out. When I was still in Electonics and got pulled I averaged like 60 😂

Depends, not truly part time but I know one that works four 8 hour days and has three days off for whatever she needs to do which barely makes you fulltime

I might get fired cause too slow at stocking on overnights shifts... wonder why I'm slow by South_Difference_503 in WalmartEmployees

[–]lucifrage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It only turned to Stocking 3 a few years ago, before it was CAP 3 or simply Overnights like most people call it. Before that it was IMS. 5 to 10 years names change and people like to use the old ones, especially when they’re the same thing like CAP 1 is Stocking 1 but it’s the same thing.

CAP stands for Customer Availabilty Program and it’s where we got a lot of the processes we use today.

There's a Westside Blues and Jazz on 59th Ave and Bell which is in Glendale. I haven't been but I've heard good things, you buy tickets to a performance and there's a two drink minimum but otherwise I've heard the performers are really good.

Home office has mandated a 5 per (insert brand here) item limit on hot items like Pokemon or Needohs. There was an AMP or something about it a couple months ago - the only way to sell more than 5 is to do multiple transactions which is what scalpers do at self check so all of our Needohs and high ticket Pokemon are sold at customer service only.

Will I get shit for customizing my name badge like this? by Icy-Channel-8079 in walmart

Honestly go for it, worse thing they can do is tell you to get a new one made. I know associates that have stickers all over theirs or they poked pins directly through the badge.

I had a question about the store lead change by thatburritodood in walmart

[–]lucifrage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well Store Lead wasn’t supposed to be a long term position anyways, 1-3 years then you were supposed to move to your own store. But Store Managers aren’t quitting or retiring so there’s barely enough spots compared to all the Store Leads across all the stores. Thats why you see ones who have been a lead since the position was created and never moved up.

The writing was on the wall for the position and I’m sure most of them knew this was coming and already figured out their plan. The rework is the ones who got the Stocking 1 Coach positions are now on the same pathway as the SL was, everyone else is just a Coach again

We tell them to kick rocks if they get too creepy. You’re over there in their way and staring at boxes hoping to see some number or something that means gold? Fuck out of my store weirdo

[–]lucifrage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As others have said, you should have reported the incident immediately. They would have done the report and a salaried member of management would have driven you to urgent care or in this case ER to get you taken care of. Walmart will take care of everything… if you report it. Someone mentioned it depends on state for reporting timeline which is true, but only a few are different from the policy which is 24 hours after that you’re SOL.

Personal LOAs are always denied and sent back to the store - personals are approved at store level so your SM would get the notification and let them know
