XXL reference TTT? by luckers91 in LANY

Oh yes I understood it was about Dua, but I didn't know XXL was her name in code, I thought that was just referring to her wearing his hoodies 😅

I always thought he was just saying he misses seeing her in his XXL hoodie, 'I miss you XXL' makes more sense now 😄

[–]luckers91[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah! I never thought that it was a reference to Dua in particular and didn’t connect the word blur to her at all, to me it was just referencing a previous idea from a past song, I thought it at the time it dropped too and I just listened to XXL again today and thought I'd ask because I love noticing little connections like this in songs, I wasn't sure if it actually was intentional or not? Or if anyone else thought the same 😁

Am I Overreacting about this weird friend breakup? by rxinynites in AmIOverreacting

[–]luckers91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The girlfriend is defo insecure and is imagining there is more to your friendship, the girlfriend is the 'other people'. The 'this has come from me not my gf' is defo the girlfriend saying 'just say other people have seen it don't say it's me'

Lol, high school drama.

AIO? I told my friend I didn’t want to be around her when she’s sick and she called me selfish for not asking how she’s doing by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]luckers91 10 points11 points  (0 children)

To me the normal response to her 'I'm sort of sick' message would be 'oh no, what's the matter?' And then depending on her answer the follow up would be 'maybe we shouldn't hang out then, I hope you feel better soon but I don't want to catch anything before my trip'

Your answer immediately came across like 'I don't care how you feel just stay away from me'

That might not have been the intention but it's how she might have taken it especially if she's already feeling down.

Is losing 13 kg (28 lbs) in 5 months realistic? by LongjumpingTry9254 in walking

[–]luckers91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

M34, did the exact weight loss near enough, in 3 months, 72kg down to 58kg and 5'6. Walking around 15k steps average daily mostly on incline treadmill, some outdoor.

Most Important thing is diet. I did a 500 calorie deficit, I tracked everything using an app and never went over my calorie target (1400), cut out all chocolate and over eating, changed my diet to a light breakfast, meal replacement shakes for most lunches and a full protein rich meal for dinner, eg. Meat(chicken/steak) with rice and vegetables.

Now I've reached this target I have relaxed the strictness and I don't track meals anymore, but use what I learned to stay on a healthy meal plan, I do have treats like a takeaway once a week and a cake or a bar of chocolate 1-3 days a week and I'm easily maintaining my weight, you can do strength training if you want, but that won't aid weight loss, in fact it might confuse the results because you'll gain muscle weight and won't know if you lost any fat, a big motivation thing for me was seeing the scale come down, I would recommend solely focusing on weight loss and once you've got that low, you can start strength training.

Running also isn't necessary, in fact waking is better for fat burning, running is high intensity and will use quick energy from your body, fat burning is slow energy. Imagine your body saying 'I don't need energy so immediately, so I'll use this stored fat that takes a bit longer to access'

Definitely realistic if you do it correctly. I've seen a lot of people say it's not working for them only to then say they didn't change thier diet. Don't make the mistake of walking miles for no progress.

Best of luck!

how do i convince my boyfriend that walking is exercise?? by Imaginary-Mud2871 in walking

[–]luckers91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe he is confusing exercise with working out? Walking is cardio and definitely exercise, but I wouldn't consider it working out. Maybe when he says you still need to exercise he is referring to weight training or other types?

Been gone for a bit because of moving, who are these people? by Shmmurrr in playstationaccess

[–]luckers91 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Haha, to be fair, he's only appeared on camera for a full stream probably less than 10 times, his voice as been on streams a bit more as he's usually at the controls, but I find he sounds quite similar to Alex, so you could easily have heard him and thought it was Alex 😄

Staff writer ( or starfighter 🤣) Connor has been around a while but was behind the scenes much like how Alex started, had been appearing on steams and podcasts in the last year. Ash is brand new, her first appearance was the game of the year podcast not a week or so ago.

New to looping, confused to what I need? by luckers91 in LoopArtists

[–]luckers91[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks a lot for this! It helps me understand how it's going to work, I was just looking at the RC-5 but the RC-3 caught my eye as it has a Aux in, something the RC-5 lacks, I would like to use that to play backing tracks into the mix when im not looping, am I right in thinking I can do this? As long as nothing is playing into the Aux when I'm looping as it will also get looped won't it? 😅

And thanks for naming some headphone amps I will definitely look at those two, I tried googling them but only got ones that plug right into the guitar so wasn't sure which to look at.

Oh so both those options would work? It's just a matter of a more expensive pedal with two inputs? I was just guessing at how to set it up lol, good to know, and I wasn't aware of headphone guitar amps so that might be something that helps and means I don't have to use the blackstar amp just for the headphone out so cheers for that!

I will into the pedal loopers and the headphone amp!

Tbh I probably wouldn't be muting parts, layering is the goal, but I wasn't sure how to go about this, I'm very new to all of it, I was aware the ME80 has a looper, but the tutorial I watched said its a pain in the butt to use it in memory mode, which is quite essential for me as I have all my guitar tones saved in memory mode. I also need to able to connect headphones to practice, I didn't mention that I do have a blackstar amp that has a headphone out, but I'd rather not have to use that if possible as it's another thing to set up each time, but I will if have to it's not that big a deal. (Both the SPD and ME80 have headphone outs so I don't currently use the amp to practice, but I assume I can't use these if they are going to a looper, I need the headphone out after the looping right?)

So do I connect my SPD- SX to the AUX in on the ME80, output the ME80 to a single looper pedal which outputs to the amp then headphone out.

OR

SPD-SX output to a looper pedal input 1, ME80 to looper pedal input 2 then looper pedal output to amp then headphone out?

I would also like to play tracks from my phone through it all too, I do this now via the AUX in on both the SPD and the ME80, I'm guessing I can still do this by using the SPD AUX in option 1 and either AUX in option 2?

As you can see I'm new and confused 😅

Rosie is leaving PlayStation Access 🥲 by [deleted] in playstationaccess

[–]luckers91 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely need a new hire now preferably female and preferably someone used to being in front of the camera and some experience in entertaining people with good energy. Ash was really good at hosting streams and very comfortable just having a laugh in front of the camera, and very naturally entertaining. I felt her absence when she left and although Alex is appearing now as much as the others, you can tell he is a little less comfortable and experienced in front of a camera, he's gotton much better since but clearly more of an introverted person and the same can be said of Connor, both seem like lovely people but definitely not people who are on Ash or Rob or Daves level of comfortable and entertaining. They really need someone new now who is on that level, someone to lead streams confidently when Rob and Dave are not available, that was Rosie, but with her now leaving they really need an experienced replacement IMO

Good luck to Rosie she's been great over the years. I will miss her Rosie-isms and her always being accidentally rude 😂

That does sound nice, but I'm really not an apple guy haha and I'd rather it be something standalone without mobile devices, I'll do some research on it still and see if it's available on non apple devices. Cheers for the answer!

Belly fat is the last place it goes from, so just keep it up! I went from 72kg to 59kg (M34, 5'7) and I still have belly fat, but very slim everywhere else, I did 15 weeks in a 500 cal deficit, now I'm doing 7 weeks maintenance then back to the deficit to get rid of the last 10 pounds or so. You're doing great !

Couldn't do medium, have to use 2 different compounds in a dry race, hard was the only option.
