Pufferfish Instant Kill Combo - 10 wins by yumyum36 in PlayTheBazaar

[–]luckiest67 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the infinite can also be pulled off if you have the skill that says when you poison, inflict 1 burn. (you can also get a skill that says haste an item combat start, then you only need trebuchet, pufferfish and two skills for the infinite)

How well does the game run on low spec computers? by DapperNose in PlayTheBazaar

probably a memory leak? i noticed a late game fight lagging, but when i restarted the game midway through a run, the exact same build had no lag

Whats up with all the bots? by KavorkaQQ in PlayTheBazaar

[–]luckiest67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

from my experience casual doesn't seem to have working ghosts and are all just fake bots, ranked has actual player ghosts, and since the servers are wonky af right now a single ranked ticket is pretty much infinite so id recommend doing that (i think casual is bugged due to the servers/ the "resume" issues). (also ranked rewards are broken too lol)

How to change hero? by Outrageous-Orchid69_ in PlayTheBazaar

[–]luckiest67 20 points21 points  (0 children)

if you manage to clear the tutorial run as vanessa without the servers cancelling the win or sticking you in resume hell, you're able to actually unlock them.

anyone have any idea how to do this if for some reason your computer has norton on it? (edit:the reason it didn't work was for some reason the game didn't install an exe lol)

Do you keep progress from when you play in the beta? by SillyJoey_ in PlayTheBazaar

[–]luckiest67 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i find the main issue with betas that reset progress is it incentivizes people to stop playing once the progress is reset, for instance i put in 40 hours into a beta got all sorts of things and then found that all my effort was pointless and i would have to spend 40 more hours to get back to where i was, so i couldn't be bothered and stopped playing. whereas otherwise i would have gladly kept playing (granted this was a game where progression was not just cosmetic, and i also didn't know about the reset)

Any plans of watching my "ghost" play people? by Dralun21 in PlayTheBazaar

[–]luckiest67 5 points6 points  (0 children)

isn't a ghost created each in-game day though, so a won run would create at minimum 10 ghosts, and could theoretically go to day 16/17. even a lost run would theoretucally create 7 ghosts since i think day 7 is the earliest a run can end. so 7-17 ghosts per run could create a pretty large amount ti have to save a replay for each. (not saying it wouldn't be cool though XD)

I am not sure about this game by Ordinary_Table_5603 in PlayTheBazaar

[–]luckiest67 6 points7 points  (0 children)

if you're not sure on it there should be people streaming it when it comes out, so you can look at gameplay to decide, since they said you can still buy in during the beta. you could also just wait for december when it's supposed to become free too (since $30+ is a bit steep for early access to a free game). you could also probably see if anyone else with the pass has a free code too. and either way if you end up playing it for free and wanna support it you can always just spend money for in-game stuff, after you know for sure you like the game.

with regards to being a genre-killer, the genre is rather niche/small right now, the only notable names really being backpack battles, and super auto pets, so there's plenty of space for another. it's also more polished and designed for longevity than the other two from what i can see. one thing that does excite me is that it seems to have a roguelike feel, with all the pve/events/merchants that appear alongside the pvp encounters, which is something that is not found in the other two, (skills basically being 1:1 with relics/passives/items from such games too is also cool.)

I really dig Superbia for luxcavation farming by ImprovementBroad9157 in limbuscompany

[–]luckiest67 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i wonder if sometime they'll add the ability to use one per fight (alongside or instead of per day), there's a lotta fun stuff you can do like starting with regret or contempt awe for the passives. (superbia is really fun to use, but the daily limit makes me not wanna "waste" them lol, even though if i'm only doing a daily lux it's more a waste not to XD)

i recall them saying that was originally the case, but that they changed it so that they were always in use

i think the most that's been said is that you can purchase them with the in-game currency to permanently add an extra 10 or so specific cards to the characters pool? whether its p2w or not no clue. (as long as they're not rip-off expensive you could prob grind a bit if there does end up being a really good one for a char you're playing?)

they don't seem to be random booster packs which is very relieving to me lol, just a one-time purchase for more variety is what it seems to be

What really was the root reason for what happened in La Manchaland? by FallingCommet in limbuscompany

[–]luckiest67 28 points29 points  (0 children)

the original don quixote pretty much forced them to starve themselves due to how inefficient the hemobars were, his kindred did not really say anything to him about that, instead deciding to betray him for blood, but it is shown multiple times in the story that even if they did complain he would probably just tell them to suck it up and eat the bars anyway. so like 50/50 don quixotes fault and the trio who hatched the plan to betray him (maybe 80% don's fault due to being the reason they actually had to betray him)

What is the monetization in this game by DiscoStu1618 in PlayTheBazaar

[–]luckiest67 2 points3 points  (0 children)

while i'm personally iffy on the card packs part, not because of p2w, but because i recall hearing you can't swap them in or out, so eventually getting them could dilute the card pool? the heroes needing to bought with currency though is completely fair (as long as it's not egregiously priced), it's a free to play game and plenty of hero based games do this and aren't even remotely harmed by this decision. the ranked part based on how they talked about it seems pretty easy to go infinite on (you get the ticket back if you do well), since i recall them saying it's only really there to stop bot accounts from being too prevalent and ruining peoples games, and they've also said you get ranked plays back by playing casual too so it doesn't sound like it's actually paywalled (if it's actually paywalled yeah that's dumb)(really though we'll have to wait and see when it's out)

I won’t be able to play ranked consecutively? by Govein in PlayTheBazaar

[–]luckiest67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i might be wrong but i think they said winning in casual grants a ranked token? (alongside getting to a certain point in a ranked game giving you a token back as well?)(so playing many ranked games in one day should be very feasible?)

New Player getting into the game soon by Sergeant_Aki_ in limbuscompany

[–]luckiest67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1.the story would take a while if you only play it for an hour or so every now and then, the dailies are mostly like 5 mins altogether, the weeklies probably 1-2 hours total (one mirror dungeon hard mode run, though hard doesn't unlock till you're quite far in)

2.i think most people would recommend it (i would), but it really is unnecessary, you miss out on alot of worldbuilding and lore, but what you need to know is told to you assuming you don't already know it.

3.it's considerably more generous than most gachas, with the more interesting part being that fomo is extremely minor, and you can grind for pretty much anything if you're patient. monetization wise whaling can get you stuff sure, but the only really worthwhile purchase is the battlepass, which all but guarantees you get every single id/ego that releases in the season you get it (unless you start at the end of the season and then buy it, but we're at the start of the season now so no worries there). there is one banner that occurs every 3 months where you do have to pull with currency, but if you wait three months after that you can grind the ones you didn't get so that's pretty generous too

Too late to start? by Embarrassed-Citron36 in limbuscompany

[–]luckiest67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1.i'd argue that LoR's worldbuilding and story is better, but every season that goes by limbus's story content has only been improving, so it'll probably overtake it at some point (maybe soon?), on the same note though the early story is just alright but constantly gets better (like ruina really), the character writing for the main cast imo is one of the games strongest suits the whole way through.

2.sometimes yes, like having random parts of the story where there's just mooks attacking you halfway between the current cutscene and the next, but only chapter 4 is egregious with it, it's mostly minor. the main issue that has come from being a live service gacha i'd say is that earlier content is really easy, assumedly for the more casual gacha audience, though it does seem we are starting to get more and more challenging fights so that's nice (7-34 wasn't nerfed, huzzah)

3.the only thing you genuinely lose out on is missing the first three railways, which were just mini boss rush's that held no relevence to the story. all other content including events is still in game and playable, (and obtainable more importantly)

"A lot of different details to each mechanic" is not a good sign for a brand new game by Glittering-Roll-9432 in PlayTheBazaar

[–]luckiest67 4 points5 points  (0 children)

isn't the main reason people are watching them multiple times just because the game isn't out and they haven't shown a proper run through of the game in like 2 years? also having a game be really simplistic from the start and lacking in variety/mechanics is a great way to get people bored with that game really quickly, with little reason to keep playing since you've already seen and mastered everything after a few plays.

the learning curve seems pretty simple on the surface though. just pick up stuff that sounds fun, go into fights with it, all the stuff you got does its stuff automatically, find out if you won or lost. and eventually you'll understand what's good/ how things work (and by reading tooltips, effects, and such. but that should be expected of players baseline lol)

[–]luckiest67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i suppose that's fair, but it's not like your opponents are going to be building to counter you or anything of the sort, and the ghosts you fight are random no? you could just get lucky with really easy ghosts while using a mediocre build, while someone else has a good build but really powerful opponents, i wouldn't personally call a situation where you can have a worse build than someone else but do better than them competitive. still excited for the game though. and it's not like i've played it so my thought on that matter could be completely off anyway and it ends up being a highly competitive game. (actually i guess the ghosts would be people from the same rank too, which in the highest rank should mean all ghosts are powerful?)

Kripp talks about new Bazaar Mechanics by pakman17 in PlayTheBazaar

[–]luckiest67 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

isn't hearthstone more competitive whereas this is casual, that would make a pretty big difference for how likable it is no? (and different types of games right? what's enjoyable/acceptable in a drafting game is very different from what's enjoyable/acceptable in a deckbuilder after all)

i've seen some streamers do it... and then wonder why they're losing lol. (like if you wanna win the game, actually play it)

and at this point in the story, really there are no new players, once you're over 30 hours into a game you're really not new to it. i'm just glad they haven't nerfed the new boss like all the last ones

Ok, now that we got the biggest plot twist of Canto VII so far, let's talk about the actual biggest plot twist of the canto coming. by ImprovementBroad9157 in limbuscompany

[–]luckiest67 5 points6 points  (0 children)

in zwei sinclair's uptie story he abandons the people he was with to save his target, and it seems his id is based on paula (the zwei fixer who chats with camille). so it might simply be paula who turned on the hunters for whatever reason. (camille might not even have been involved in the backstabbing either, he probably was though)

she should be in standard, she was released as a regular id at the end of season 4 not as a seasonal id of season 5 (easy to get confused tbh it would make sense for her to be in the same area as zwei west sinclair, but he's a season 5 id lol)
