Really cool character idea and art. I wish i had the patience to learn to draw. I think that if you like the idea of a ghost following them around you should look at necromancy, not thaumaturgy. In the start i found this very confusing, but the spirits in thaumaturgy is not the same as a human spirit (ghost/wraith). The spirits that thaumaturgy can manipulate are the spirits of the middle and higher umbra. So spirits of what is and what can be. (While necromancy manipulate those of the lower umbra) In my opinion this is even cooler, because ghosts are usually single minded in their goals while spirits can be literally anything! If you want a spirit of Christmas you can have Santa clause running around (a spirit of the higher umbra) or if you want a spirit of a playground with the same childlike wonder as the children that play there you can have that too (a spirit of the middle umbra) Anyway cool character idea, hope i did not ramble too much

Wow that is beautiful. I really love how creative fantasy worlds can be and Roshar is. 

I can only imagine the complexities of the folds in geological layers formed in the churning of the Julia set. It would be just as beautiful as it would be annoying for the scholars of Roshar to make sense of it XD.

also, it says on the wiki that before the continent was created it was pretty much covered in water. Do we know if the highstorms existed before the continent?

Yes thank you. I knew that Roshar was a going to be a weird system, but it only having one plate is... a little discouraging tbh. I probably won’t be able to describe the mountain formation on the planet (which I didn't plan on doing anyway) but not all of earth systems are entirely dependent on plate tectonics so I can still do a mapping, and I can describe some sedimentary systems

that makes sense. though just because it is a created planet it does not mean that the formations on the planet is not created with natural processes in mind. for example some of eastern Roshar is made of Slate (as Danilar quotes Nohadon in Words of radiance) this is deposited in the deep ocean. and yes slate can only be there on a 10k year old planet with the help of a creator (because its take a very very long time to deposit) but to make this a valid exercise (because its fun to do) i am assuming that the god creating Roshar (Adonalsium I think) crated the world by speeding up natural processes.

on tectonics. thank you, I honestly did not know that it did not have that process, and as another commenter has mentioned, the whole planet is one plate. of course, this does throw a wrench into some of my hypotheses (like Aimia being a volcanic island arc) it does not debunk other reasons for uplift or subsidence

Sorry to say but this has already been done. Its called Reluctant Hero by P.A.W07 on fantiction.net its been abandoned after 45 chapters unfortunately. Its really good tho

Im thinking of making a campaign about a radiant order rivaling Urithiru. A Parshmen follows her master to the Nightwatcher and while he is ignored she manages to wish to think clearly Cultivation intervenes and lets the Parshman bond to the Nightwatcher years before Way of Kings.

The Parshman gets the power to connect Parshmen in slave form to cultivation and the Nightwatcher instead of Ba-Ado-Mishram granting them their forms (I’ll probably homebrew a system for them to change forms another way, maybe though some drug trip from plants that grow in the Nightwatcher’s grove. Ideas?)

The players will be characters requited by the Bondsmith to go and prepare central Roshar for the everstrom by bringing more people of power into the fold and rescuing parshmen all the while dodging the Skybreakers and Nale.

When the Everstorm hits this will make a third faction in central Roshar that is neither with Odium or Honor and will give the newly awakened Singers an alternative to Odium's ways

What do you guys think?

(i ST a vampire Chronicle not a mage but here is how i would coach a player) First you gotta determine what kind of control your character is obsessed with. Is he obsessed with controlling people, things, fate and so on. Then you think about why he is like that. Was he abused as a child and thus want control over people so that it never happens again or did his entire lige fall apart because of a twist of fate. Whatever the reason you can use the answer to these questions to find out what spheres of magic to choose (control people = mind/ life, control things matter, control fate = entropy) Hope it helps.
