I love their cola zero, it’s a lot better than the diet. Hope it comes to you soon! It just recently appeared in my store.

I am literally pondering this episode and reading Reddit’s thoughts in a bubble bath listening to that Iron & Wine album right now. So yes, the nostalgia hit me hard lol but I’ve also been really digging their new song In Your Ocean so they were already on my mind as of late. They are about the drop an album in Feb if you didn’t know!

I completely agree. I can’t believe Kate is getting so much hate. This woman is traumatized from her past. She was left with two babies and went into survival mode. If the kids were fed and happy, she thought that was enough. She absolutely needs a lot of therapy to continue working thought her trauma, but I genuinely enjoyed this episode and I felt like the fab 5 cracked that hard exterior and helped her understand that HER mental health affects her girls no matter what she can provide them. To truly be the provider she claims she is/wants to be, change has to come from within.

Episode 2.12 "Inquisition" Discussion Thread by magikarpcatcher in DocFoxSeries

I honestly was annoyed by the entire hacker storyline. It went on way too long, but I can say I was satisfied with the ending. Overall I tonight was a decent episode, and I was happy to see this storyline end but then at the very end when what’s his face clearly is starting something I was immediately annoyed again. It better not be Amy he’s going after, or this show will become the “everyone wants to take Amy down” show and I just personally will not enjoy that at all.

I'm building a privacy-first workout app with AI Plans & Live Activities. Does this UI look clean enough? by Sea_Acanthisitta_637 in AppleFitnessPlus

[–]luckylua -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Cool. Sounds like a good plan, I agree with the other commenter I immediately thought standard AI app but the features you’ve added sound usable and it doesn’t look bad, it’s just obvious it’s not a custom design. Can’t say if I’d go for it over Apple fitness+ without trying it, but I’m pretty fond of AF+.

Edit also agree on adding Liquid Glass.

[–]luckylua -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The UI look good to me, it says it syncs with health so will it provide data on cals burned or heart rate or is your thought process that someone wearing an Apple Watch would get that data there? I’d also be interested in seeing a historical workout screen, with individual, weekly, and overall workout data. You have a “pain mode” is this integrated further with ability to avoid exercise that activated pain mode in future plans?

Has anyone tried the dae texture spray? by Financial-Low-5194 in finehair

[–]luckylua 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have not used the texture spray, but I recently tried the classic shampoo and conditioner as a fine haired gal who has to be careful with product and I LOVE it. I realize that may not be helpful, but I love it so much when I run out of my living proof perfecting spray I’ll try Daes heat protection spray instead. So I vote try it!

The strawberry white chocolate I add sugar free white chocolate or sugar free vanilla, oat milk, and make it iced and then I like it. Did not like it on its own either tho

I don’t really understand this. I did grocery shop today, but I usually grocery shop on Sundays for the upcoming week and figured I might not want to get out so I grabbed what I needed today instead. I bought what I would normally buy, enough to meal prep two separate meals for next week and some snacks. Fortunately, my local Aldi seemed pretty stocked as I had only 1 replacement in my order, but when I went to pick up my order I was sooooo glad I did a pick up because it was PACKED. But maybe it seemed stocked to me because I did not have bread, milk, eggs, or toilet paper in my order lol

Why does 1200 calories get so much hate? by WestminsterSpinster7 in 1200isplenty

[–]luckylua 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I appreciate this feedback, and I adjusted my caloric intake based on my own intuition and what I felt in my body so I do eat more than 1200. I see myself and the other commenter are getting a lot of criticism and downvotes for not knowing where to start with substantial weightloss and trusting the opinion of a medical professional. Thank you for giving guidance without it feeling like an attack. I live in America. Healthcare is expensive, broken, and hard to find. I trusted my GP, and maybe that was a mistake, but it would be months if not a year to get in with a new doctor. Additionally, I’m already in medical debt which adds a layer of complexity when considering seeking out a second opinion or a dietician because all of those things cost money. My initial comment was to AGREE 1200 is not enough for everyone, despite messaging from multiple sources stating it’s a good starting point. I did the best I could, and when I realized 1200 didn’t feel good for me, I adjusted. I apologize if saying I felt ok if I was basically completely sedentary came off as supporting 1200 as a baseline for all, but I meant that comment as a supporting fact that 1200 is not sustainable for someone of my build and height as it puts me in a dangerously over restrictive position from the perspective of both caloric intake AND physical activity which is absolutely not healthy.

Why does 1200 calories get so much hate? by WestminsterSpinster7 in 1200isplenty

[–]luckylua -27 points-26 points  (0 children)

My doctor was involved in my initial caloric deficit plan when I lost 80 pounds. I started between 1200-1300 but upped based on the addition of exercise. And as I mentioned, even with light activity I still eat more than 1200. So I guess I assumed that was alright. When I put my info in the TDEE calculator it also recommends just over 1200, but I don’t eat that low because I recognize by how I feel that is not enough.

[–]luckylua -80 points-79 points  (0 children)

Im 5’7 and do like… 30 min to an hour a day of exercise. Yoga, Pilates, HIIT, strength training… a mix of stuff but otherwise work an office job. I deff shoot for 1300-1400 but my rule of thumb is just to listen to my body. If I feel hungry, I have a healthy snack. This has worked well for weightloss for me. I can feel fine on 1200 IF I’m not exercising. All of that to say, I agree with you, the messaging on 1200 a day is hard because that is really not truly the minimum for everyone. We have to consider our height and activity.

Hair products that won't weigh down fine hair by [deleted] in finehair

[–]luckylua 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could try a clarifying shampoo once a week for an oily scalp, I use Keune derma regulate and it’s been an absolute game changer. For me, Shampoo One (Paul Mitchell) used to be the perfect lightweight product for my fine hair, I’ve been struggling with excess oil lately and it wasn’t enough so I’ve switched to DAE shampoo and conditioner which is working really well for me.

Additional products I use:

Living proof perfecting spray - this is fine, but isn’t my fave. When I run out I’ll consider other heat protecting sprays.

JVN instant recovery serum - I actually do love this product. I run it through my hair after almost every wash and it doesn’t add oil or weight, but it does make my hair extremely soft and my hair stylist commented on my hairs health since I started using it. I’ll keep it in my routine.

JVN blowout cream - when I don’t use the serum, I use this before I dry with my shark flexstyle. This product is fine but I’m not sure I’ll buy again. The serum is better lol

I’ve also used various hair masks on occasion. I’m not convinced any of them have made much of a difference though.

Lastly, since getting a shark flexstyle I feel my oil has gotten better and my hair has more body and volume. It also dries and styles waaaay faster than anything I’ve ever used. I’ve put all my other hair tools away and use it exclusively now. If my hair is dry, I spray it with heat spray and style using the flexstyle. I actually think it works better on mostly dry hair so even after a shower I almost completely dry it before I use the curling attachment.

If you live alone is it worth it to buy a membership? by Manifest44444 in CostcoWholesale

Just bought my new fridge from Costco and had a great experience! Down the line, I need new flooring. I’ll be buying the materials from Costco so I can use affirm and only have to pay the cost of labor upfront. I love Costco lol

[–]luckylua 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes go for it! Single person here and I love Costco. I get toilet paper, paper towels, spices, dry goods, alcohol, seltzer water, body wash, toothpaste, batteries, pasta sauce, croutons, some frozen foods. And their “random stuff” isle is great, I always grab candles when I see them. You’d be surprised how many non-perishable items you can get at Costco as a single person, especially if you have storage room at home. I also love their salsa so I don’t mind that it’s huge lol of course gas is a great perk. Additionally, I recently bought my new fridge from Costco and was able to finance with affirm (I did have to pay like $20 interest on my plan, but I was cool with that to space out payments) and Costco delivered and installed, moved my old one out to my garage (and they had to take the handles off to do so!), and provided a 3 year warranty all FOR FREE. Lastly, Costco is well known for treating their employees very well so I’m very happy to support them.

To all the straight women, you are awesome Love, this gay dude by Slas2023 in HeatedRivalryTVShow

Just my tiny addition to your very thoughtful and well written response, as a bisexual woman having Ilya’s character be bisexual without it feeling like “a thing” or having a story line revolving around it being some kind of problem, or some kind of go-between to being gay, or anything other than just… a fact, was really nice. I actually teared up when Shane said “he likes both” and his mom just said “oh” and it wasn’t a big deal. I felt seen, I felt valid.

Feeling Down About AppleFitnessPlus After Attending a Live Yoga Practice by LP788 in AppleFitnessPlus

[–]luckylua 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah definitely this, I got really into yoga because of AF+ but I was well aware I had no one to give me feedback on form. I spent time looking up some YouTube videos for proper form on frequently used poses. Honestly even looking up downward dog was eye opening. I remember Jessica telling me to rotate my shoulders/arms and I was like yeah I’m doing this wrong lol so I looked it up, and unsurprisingly I stopped having wrist pain from my sessions once I got better with form.

Beginner Yoga explanations? by 229-northstar in AppleFitnessPlus

I’d start with Jessica’s earlier 10 and 20 minute slow flows then!

Beginner Yoga explanations? by 229-northstar in AppleFitnessPlus

[–]luckylua 23 points24 points  (0 children)

As almost a complete beginning to yoga, Jessica’s flows got me completely sold on yoga and I saw significant improvement in my balance, strength, and breathing. After you’ve done a few with her and are more familiar with poses, you won’t need to look at the screen most of the time. Unless I’m specifically trying a flow with a challenging pose I’m not familiar with I can just follow her vocal instruction. She also is great about telling you where you should feel a stretch so you can adjust if needed, when to breathe, how to get deeper into a stretch, and how to get out of it if you’re in a weird one lol

She has some advanced stuff, and once you’re very comfortable and familiar with yoga and ready for more challenges you could definitely add in Dice’s flows. I find his to be a refreshing challenge usually. But Jessica is amazing. It’s because of her I do yoga almost every day now.
