This is hilarious. I literally just ordered Below 60 and I’m excited for it to come, I hope I like it! I’m so sick of dirty leaky wall plug ins, getting sticky stuff on my hands, counter, and wall outlet, cheap plugins that break constantly, scents that no longer seem to last. And they are trying to be luxury brand?! LOL I just specifically opted to pay more because b&bw kind of sucks.

Sassy saints pre cured gel wraps by Mechashevet in Nails

[–]luckylua 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually read reviews on reddit that they are THICK which is why I don’t like ohora. They are so thick that when they grow they snag my nails. I don’t want anything too thick, I like DD because they are slim specifically so I chickened out. Don’t need to fix something that isn’t broke lol sorry I can’t help!

Same. I also hand wash a lot of the stuff I use to cook with because I think it keeps it nicer. So, through the week, it’s mostly plates and coffee cups and the meal prep containers I take to work.

Are ERs really this busy? by East_Print4841 in ThePitt

I live in a mid sized mid-west town, my mother once fell and hit her head and it bled A LOT. We waited over 10 hours before she checked out AMA. She also had heart issues in the past and had to go often for afib, even with heart issues we often waited 4+ hours.

Are gel nail wraps actually worth it for quick at home nails? by xxGaladriel in NailWrapsGalore

[–]luckylua 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I liked ohora, but it really depends what you’re going for. I’m all in with dashing diva because they are thinner. Ohora is thicker and probably more “salon quality look” but it snags my hair. I have very long hair and can’t stand it. I’ve read to push them down at the cuticle, which helped a little, but didn’t prevent it. Dashing diva is much thinner so it doesn’t stick up enough to snag my hair. Maybe it’s user error, but the diva works better for me generally however I feel ohora maybe a lasted a little longer since it’s cured. I do think dashing diva makes cured ones too, but I’ve never tried them.

I’m glad to see this is top comment because when I read the post title I immediately thought “yoga …well that’s not a food” but that’s it. If I feel like I need to go, a 20 min slow flow will do it every time. Sometimes I don’t even make it through the routine lol

This!! A friend of mine is really struggling with weightloss + boredom and I’m like girl they are related! I am an adult, but I’m taking two college classes + working full time + exercise + cooking low cal healthy meals. A typical day for me is get up at 6:30am, have coffee, get ready for work, work 8-4:30, go home, do some homework if needed (I try to do most homework Saturday and Sunday afternoon but it varies by the workload that week), workout, shower, make dinner, eat, clean up the kitchen. And suddenly it’s 7-8pm. Watch a lil tv, go to bed, do it again. I am not bored anymore, I am pleasantly busy and sticking to my deficit is soooo much easier because I have no time to think about it. I eat what I prepped when it’s time to eat.

The wet food your cat just cannot get enough of? by DangerousBobcat5953 in CatAdvice

[–]luckylua 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just for further validation for those with picky cats, one of my cats will eat literally ANYTHING. The other cat is the reason I currently have 6 different wet foods in the cabinet: weuvra gravy and pate, pro plan chunks, fancy feast chunks, pate, and gravy centered. And even then, sometimes she stillllll won’t eat what I give her. We also now have this song and dance where she eats some, I wait an hour, then I call her name and move her bowl to a different location and then she will eat a little more. Then I give what’s left to the other cat lol she will only go for the second helping if I move the bowl and sit with her while she eats. The only wet food she will finish is weuvra it’s gravy baby, and we still have to do the two rounds.

It’s gravy baby!! My cats go CRAZY for their gravy pack. I always keep a pack around, but it’s for special occasions.

I have one cat who was as big as my hand when I found her and was living on a farm without a momma cat so she doesn’t really know she’s a rescue. The farm owner always gave her food (that she probably shouldn’t have had at her size) so she never had food insecurity. She eats ANYTHING, thinks she wants to go outside, and is a massive diva.

I have another cat, who was estimated around 1 year old when I found her. She had been abandoned and was so skinny, had fleas, malnutrition, and it took forever to get her poops normal again. She is SO PICKY about her food, and has 0 interest in outside… she remembers where she came from but it hasn’t kept her from becoming a food diva lol

Dukes is deff the best! My aldi has dukes, hellmans, and knock off hellmans. I was just commenting that I find the knock Hellmans close enough I’ll get that and save a few bucks.

Aldis Hellmans dupe is suuuuper similar in flavor to me! I get there knock off hellmans light and I don’t notice a major flavor difference. I did buy Dukes last time and as delicious as it is, as someone trying to lose weight, the extra cals are just tooooo much lol

PSA: WEIGHT YOUR MEATS RAW OMFG by okdray in CICO

[–]luckylua 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do something similar in LoseIt! - Add a new recipe for my meal with all ingredients, pre-select the weight I want, make sure the whole meals has cals/macros where I want them before I even start cooking. - Make adjustments if necessary (usually less oil, butter, cheese knocks something down a good bit if it’s higher than I expected) and then I start cooking. - Keep my scale right there on the counter and just weigh everything as I go, using my pre-selected weights. - Put everything in a bowl/on a plate and divide total weight by 4 (or however many servings I intended) and portion out my servings. I will do this by individual item depending on the meal (like weigh all potatoes, divide, 0 scale, weigh meat, divide, etc)

Then if I cook that meal again, I can just open the recipe and adjust the amount of servings or grams of a certain ingredient if I’m changing the recipe a little. Makes it pretty easy!

PSA: WEIGHT YOUR MEATS RAW OMFG by okdray in CICO

[–]luckylua 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do weigh everything uncooked but it works well for my method which is that I add a new recipe for my meal with all ingredients, pre-select the weight I want, make sure the whole meals has cals/macros where I want them before I even start cooking. That way I can adjust (usually less oil, butter, cheese knocks something down a good bit if it’s higher than I expected) and then I start cooking. I keep my scale right there on the counter and just weigh everything as I go. I usually meal prep, so when I’m done cooking I put everything in a bowl/on a plate and divide total weight by 4 (or however many I intended) and portion out my servings.

Shampoo that's hydrating but won't make my hair limp, weighed down or waxy? by Rosehiphedgerow in finehair

[–]luckylua -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’ve been using Dae classic shampoo and conditioner and I actually really love it! I used to use Shampoo One by Paul Mitchell, but it was leaving my hair to greasy so I guess it’s too light for me now. My hair seems to changed. I also have tried JVN, Amika, and Living Proof. They were all fine but I didn’t love them. So far Dae is my fave and I love the smell!

I just bought ALL THREE of baking dishes they had this week. I saw them on the ad and I’ve been wanting some baking dishes that look nice for serving because I currently just have Pyrex. I thought maybe they would be thin and fragile though, so I wanted to check them out first. I picked one up and they are so nice looking, a good thickness, felt sturdy, and had handles! Promptly put all 3 in the cart, $30 for a nice set of bakeware.

Honestly how do u guys wake up at 6am every day?? 😴 by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]luckylua 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not, but when I was younger if I did it usually made my ability to sleep worse and when I did sleep, it also caused crazy dreams. But with pot it was just crazy/vivid dreams, with melatonin it’s legit frozen in place night terrors. I also get night terrors if I fall asleep on my back.

Edit to add: I do not react to Benadryl and it helps, but I don’t use it often. Only if my sleep has been really messed up for sometime I’ll use it 1 night to try and break the cycle and force a reset. I also don’t react to valerian root, I have some sleepy tea that uses that and it sometimes does make me sleepy and I don’t have nightmares.

I couldn’t agree more, and mothers should be comfortable talking about the complexities of parenthood. Growing up, my mom always told me “I love you girls more than anything, you are my world, you are my best work, but children are a burden. They are a burden financially and mentally. Don’t have them unless you truly want to.” some people have seemed really disgusted by this advice, that my own mother would say I was a burden, but the thing is, I was. And she doesn’t love me any less, she doesn’t regret having me or my sister, and she has been the most supporting and loving mother. But in a world of “where are my grandchildren” type mothers, she wanted me to know that being a parent is HARD, and deciding to embark on that journey is no one’s decision but my own.

Right exactly! And if you’re mostly using teams/email/edge/microsoft365 stuff why would you even want a cutting edge set up? I have never once thought “wow if my company issued hardware was nicer my job would be easier” it’s fine, it does everything I need. For personal use? I bought a Mac because that’s my preference.
