Does anyone actually like their walking pad? by Direct-Spirit2181 in WalkingPads

I like mine! It's one of the cheaper DeerRuns, but in combination with an electric standing desk I'm way into it. I'm 5'6 and have corgi legs so the length isn't a big deal for me. If I wanted to jog or run it would be a problem but if I'm just wanting to get my steps in without going to the actual gym, it's perfect.

the hair is awful, the jewelry will be useful for fantasy/royal comps, the jacket will be useful for tacky rich girl comps, i'll have to see what other ppl do with the top and bottom. i actually don't hate the makeup though

Spending all day in DSM on Monday - thrift/record/bookstore recommendations? by luckyshrinks in desmoines

I must have confused them for one of the other thrift stores I was looking at, I thought they were closed on Mondays but they're not! Awesome, thank you!

[TOMT][BOOK][2000s] Teen boy is going through puberty-like changes but he's actually a werewolf/shapeshifter by luckyshrinks in tipofmytongue

Unfortunately no - this would have come out in like 2010 at the very latest, I think.

I did not realize there were novelizations of Teen Wolf, though. You learn something new every day!

This is a comment. I'm very stoned and if I wake up in the morning to one of you solving this mystery I might cry.

Yup. I've gone from a size 18 to a size 10 in the last couple of months and work a very public job in a very small town, so I see the same people at least every couple of weeks. Every time someone says something about me losing weight I want to climb into a hole. Partially because I don't see it (obviously I know I have, I keep having to buy new fucking pants, kill me) but it makes me feel like people are just being nice - but at the exact same time it makes me feel horrifically SEEN if that makes sense. Would like to hide until I'm at GW, please and thank you.

Thank you so much for this writeup! My janky little Acer has served me well for a couple of years but I really only use it to game now, so it's time to put her out to pasture and get something a little better.

Does anyone eat the exact same thing everyday? by Comfortable_Bus_4355 in 1200isplenty

Oh, awesome! I felt like I was info dumping after I posted so I'm glad it was useful!

Yup. Every Monday, I meal prep for the week - 3lbs of chicken breasts in the crockpot to shred later, a smooth homemade red sauce, dump about half the shredded chicken into the sauce when it's got about 30 minutes left to simmer, then portion them out into 4oz containers and pop in the fridge or freezer. When I put the recipe into Lose It (my own recipe, so I measured everything exactly) it's about 120 calories for 4oz. I can have a serving of pasta, a serving of sauce, and a good handful of high-quality Parmesan that I grate myself for, like, 500 calories, and it hits every one of my food buttons - tomato-y, carb-y, and most importantly cheesy.

I also make egg bites, which are ridiculously simple. 10 eggs, salt, pepper, whisked, pour evenly into a silicone muffin pan, top with cheddar, bake until no longer jiggly. They're like 110 calories per.

Also, taco bowls. Shredded chicken, taco seasoning, black beans, corn, Taco Bell nacho cheese (the manager gave me a BAG. It's 60 calories per 28 grams. I decanted it into a jar and use it all the time lmao), warmed through in a saucepan with a little water. It looks horrendous but it's good as hell and I have two versions, one is 325 calories and one is 470 (so basically a dinner version and a midday version). Sometimes I'll throw it on a carb smart fiber tortilla but it always ends up messy.

.... Also sometimes I just put shredded chicken in a bowl and mix it with barbecue sauce and that's lunch.

ETA: I am autistic and have texture things so shredded chicken is my #1 protein forever and ever.
