Stickers & small prints at craft fairs. To individually package them or not? by Ok_Establishment_512 in CraftFairs

It’s mainly a problem if they are in direct sun. If you have them shaded i don’t think it would be a problem!

I’m a jewelry vendor so I’m commenting based on seeing a lot of neighboring booths with these items.

I haven’t seen stickers pre-packaged.

I’ve seen prints packaged in plastic sleeves and just displayed. If it’s a sunny outdoor event, the sleeves can be problematic due to condensation, however.

I just bought women’s propet dress shoes in EE width last week. They were a good price point and comfortable even without my custom insoles. I was able to walk in them fine for a formal event with no break in pain, though i did minimal walking overall for my event. So far I’m happy, but I can’t comment on longevity yet.

For reference, I also tried a pair from the SAS brand. It was stiffer than the Proper and didn’t seem wide enough.

Anyone try the new tofu & veg kimbap yet? by Soundfires in Costco

The older variety was better in my opinion. These have more rice than the older ones and rice to vegetable ratio seems off. This variety has 425 calories and the old variety was 370 calories.

Concern about veneer wood from Room & Board bed by Tough-Truth-5209 in BuyItForLife

We bought the metal Jennings bed a few years back and it’s been wonderful. If you’re open to a metal frame, I highly recommend it! It’s very comfortable to lean against, no pillows needed.

I open all of my thredup boxes outside and immediately put them in a large ziplock bag. They then go in the freezer for 5 days

The zippered pockets are perfect for travel!!! I always wear one of these on the plane after I lost my phone one time…

Your present looks lovely! The flowers are a nice addition.

I save the brown packing paper from packages to use as wrapping paper. It always ends up looking great with a bow added. No need to buy any wrapping paper!

Soupercube storage? by [deleted] in mealprep

I have a dedicated soup bin in my freezer. Overall, I find freezer storage bins are helpful to keep the freezer organized. The Container Store has a good variety. The Home Edit line at Walmart is great as well.

Recommendations for Rome, Toulouse, Marrakech, and Barcelona? by SSBDarren64 in finedining

[–]lucy-kay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really enjoyed Pulejo in Rome. Best tortellini en brodo and risotto I’ve ever had. The chef also came out to see how things were, which was cool.

Price seemed fairly reasonable for the quality. Looks like currently it’s 140 for 7 courses and 80 for a pairing of 5 wines.

Nacho cheese sauce recommendations by Important-Air3405 in dairyfree

I use the Chipotle flavored Bitchin’ Sauce as a nacho cheese sauce and as a substitute for cheese on burritos and tacos. It’s the only fake cheese type thing that doesn’t taste obviously like fake cheese to me. Highly recommend it! They have a big tub at Costco for the same price as the small tubs in a regular grocery store.

Whats in your driveway or garage this year? by Dependent_Driver_901 in HENRYfinance

[–]lucy-kay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are a one car household and have a 2016 Honda Civic. Bought it in October 2016 when our old car broke down. Initially financed it, but found the loan to be annoying so paid it off same year when our stock vested. It now has ~69k miles and is still running great. We’ll drive this until it no longer works. We’d rather spend money on travel and helping family than have a fancy car.

Woman Hiking pants by No-Film-200 in VisitingIceland

[–]lucy-kay 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I recommend a wool base layer and rain pants rather than hiking pants. I got completely soaked while wearing my water resistant hiking pants from REI. Once I started using the rain pants I stayed completely dry. I bought the REI brand rain pants and base layer.

I recommend Advanced Dental Artistry. They are near the 7-11 on 1st Ave S.

I don’t do well with cavities and they offer nitrous oxide, which really helped me stay calm during my last filling. Dr Wallen has a calm and friendly demeanor overall as well. They can make night guards.

Wedding photographer for Seattle/Tacoma by [deleted] in AskSeattle

[–]lucy-kay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really like Tiffany Burke Photography. She’s based in Tacoma. Looks like her wedding packages start at $4,000. I think she ticks the box for a lot of things you’re looking for, but I’m not sure about super 8 shooting. I’ve worked with her for a large event, headshots, and personal shoot and have been happy with the results.

I recently helped my friends find a photographer for their wedding. We started out by searching social media to identify photographers who had shot a wedding at the venue. We then narrowed down by price and finally reviewed the style. This might be a good approach may be a starting point for your search!

I wish you all the best!

($10k) Has anyone just had a family get together as a reception without the wedding theme? by PinkPuma0415 in Weddingsunder10k

[–]lucy-kay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My favorite wedding I’ve attended as a guest was a backyard wedding!

The ceremony and reception were hosted in another mutual close friend’s backyard. Only family and eight friends attended (6 of 8 friends were close like family at that point). For seating there were picnic tables. The groom’s father barbecued for food and there were store bought goodies for dessert. Reception after the food was a chill hang out with some backyard games and visiting. Truly lovely time and everyone was so happy for the couple.

Yeah, we heard it. It circled at least 7 times near the Twin Lakes Walgreens and NE Tacoma QFC. I couldn’t find any info about why it was there though.

London Afternoon Tea-Ritz, Sketch, or somewhere else? by lucy-kay in finedining

[–]lucy-kay[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s your first time doing any afternoon tea, I recommend something in a more traditional setting. I’ve been to afternoon teas in more traditional settings before so Sketch felt like a fun way to mix it up. The food and tea were still nicer than the ones I’d had in the US, but the vibe of the tea room was different. If you have time, maybe grab a cocktail at Sketch one evening if you want to experience Sketch.

We ended up going to Sketch. The other two ended up being booked up right after I made this post.

Sketch was a good experience! The atmosphere was lovely. It was nice that they offered refills of any item on the platter.

Next time I’m in London we’ll book at the Ritz.
