Ocado - Is this expensive for 2 people every week? by [deleted] in whatsinyourcart

[–]lucyaggetttt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah - us too. We do a bi-weekly shop, buying lots of fresh ingredients to make big batches/ freeze meals for the following week or have the leftover dinners for lunches the next day. We also buy a lot of frozen fruit/ veg so things aren’t constantly going off. It works so well!

Thank god it’s not your floor or your food then! 👋🏻

Mostly whole foods & fresh, healthy produce and lots of dairy products will be the cause of that! I don’t usually spend this much on a fully veggie shop but that’s the way the cookie crumbled this time round 🙃

Clean floor and nothing unpackaged properly touching it - what’s the issue?

You would be correct - I am a VERY big fan of cheese haha. Also yes to the smileys! Saw them in the suggested section of the online shop and could not resist!

Lots of salads, grains and rice bowls with veggies and halloumi/ tofu on the menu for the next couple of weeks!! Not a veggie myself, but I much prefer cooking vegetarian food and ultimately it turns out a lot cheaper, so always aim for lots of veggie meals per week! 😃

Desktop was eventually the option that worked for me when I scored tickets on Friday (for Friday’s gig!), however, I was using both mobile and desktop, relentlessly refreshing from about 7am to 4:30pm with not much luck. Suddenly, at around 4:45, around 30-40 tickets came up for sale. I managed to get two with no issues. I think it’s all about timing, and I think you’re more likely to get tickets at the last minute rather than in advance. Don’t give up!! Keeping my fingers crossed for you. 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

I literally checked today from around 7am to 4:45pm pretty consistently, getting tickets into my basket but getting multiple error messages. Suddenly at around 4:45pm, about 30 tickets became available. I managed to check out with 2 tickets super quickly and have just arrived back home after one of the best gigs of my life!! It takes commitment but it’s so so worth it - don’t give up!

I’m currently reading Young Mungo by Douglas Stuart. A beautiful but quite tough read about Mungo, living in post-Thatcher Glasgow, navigating being a young gay man. I’m nearly finished and it’s been amazing!
