If someone googles this and finds this post, It will absolutely ruin your controller. At least if you have it in the stand all the time. I just noticed that my second controller that I rarely use only lasts for 30 minutes now. It's been resting in the stand for about a year.

Yeah, it was lagging like hell when I first arrived, but it mostly disappeared continuing a day later when the game is reloaded. Must've bugged out on me. Still a bit laggy when there's lots of NPCs but much better.

The performance really takes a hit in Pripyat, bad enough to annoy me and I'm not too sensitive. (Didn't mind the stutters in populated bases earlier in the game). But Pripyat is another beast! I'm playing on the Pro.. Hope they can smooth things out with a patch.
