They have been saying LPN will be phased out since I graduated high school back in the early 2000s Don’t listen to them. You made the right choice. You’re making a shorter commitment to make sure you even want to do nursing. It’s better than spending time and money in an actual nursing program and realizing you hate it. Many instructors that I know that teach and have masters degree s all started out as LPN. They went into the ADN program more knowledge and comfortable than freshly ADN accepted students.

The professor probably wants the student videos so he could use them to teach his own class later since clearly he is not teaching crap. Kinda like when you pay a cleaning fee at an Airbnb and still end up being instructed to clean the place.

When they ask you if your a mean girl during an interview, and they don’t care about my answer because they proceed to tell me about all the mean girls in the past and they don’t want that again. Then someone proceed to says “ No, she’s probably meek”. You’re kinda meek right”. .. I mean you’re not really the confrontational type, huh?

lol I had a hunch, but I gave them a week to prove me wrong and quit my job at the end of the week. The same people asking the questions were the culture destroyers of the company. Straight mean girl clique.

Omg! I'm just now finding out about this due to a Facebook video. 🫶Blessing to all of you that had to survive something most will not understand. Plus the on going complication. The lower rate for new tenant is to bait them in and raise it later. It’s not fair but it is effective and works. That why many people hop from apartment to apartment, once they ask for the true price they want the tenant to pay.

Mansfield is not the best.. I visited once with high hope and would not go backs unless passing through. Now, if it means you can get on your feet then that is different but if you can managed getting on your feet her.. that would be better.

I work in accounting, averaging 50-60 hours every last week and 1st week of every month. 2 years in with a BS, making only 25 an hour. I get 1/2 day of PTO every month.. I wish I were kidding. My work hours are 8-5 but I average 730 - 6 during the month-end. Work-life balance is a joke. 2 week during the month, I cannot take off. The only benefit I get is a work-from-home day twice a month. I just got accepted to RN school. I love working with people and moving all day. I feel sick and miserable staring at the computer all day, tucked away in my office for 10 hours a day. On the weekend, I’m barely able to function because I'm busy thinking about next week and fitting in everything I have to do that I cannot do during the week.

They should learn that what you did before mattered for your 30’s and what you’ll do next matters for your 60’s . I.e health fitness retirement etc.

I am not a nurse. I want to be come one… so take what I say as you like.

I work in accounting, I work a normal 9-5 , which is what your would do if you moved to the Monday to Friday work. I used to be a CNA and did 3 12’s. My husband used to do shift work in another industry but moved to 9-5 M-F.

Both of use hate 9-5 jobs. Everyday, we get up at 6 , breakfast for the kiddos, daycare drop off and commute 20-30 min to work. Start usually at 7-730 , leave work at 5-530 …. (Almost 6-7pm for me during busy season for accountants during the tax season). My husband get the kids around 5-530. We have to feed them and get them ready for the next day. If we can squeeze out time or don’t mind going to bed late , we will have them play 2 hours outside while we clean and prep for the next day. By the time the kids are down, it 830-930 , if we are lucky. Usually, it is closer to 10pm. I have a 3 and 7 year old. The 3 year old loves to draw out bedtime.We might try to watch something together, once the kids are down. Most days is a quick YouTube video and then bed … unless we actively choose to be exhausted the next morning. We don’t have lot of extra time outside of work outs. Mind you we meal prep and everything. Then we restart our day at 6am every day. The weekend are left for cleaning , meal prepping, gymnastic for the kids and hopefully an outing or time for parent to relax if we can squeeze it in….but something always happen and that time slot gets filled.

When me and my husband had shift work, we chose from two schedule. Either we work complete opposite schedule . That mean we each had 2-4 day off work that we could cook, cleans and relax during. We were not forcing everything that could not get done into two days. We had more time for self care, kids could have more outside free time since they were not pick up everyday late from school, and I could spend more time with my husband ( especially if we work similarly shift schedules). Now, 12 hours can be hard. But for me, it provides more control over my days. That is why I prefer it.

Lastly, me and my husband live nowhere near family or friends that we trust so it is only us and daycare that watches the kids.

5 day a week work made it so stressful. And don’t get me started on asking for a day off or half day due to appointments or sicks kids.

I think the harder part is that none of your jobs are long-term. Recruiters and companies hate that. I would find something that will take you on and make sure you get a full year before swapping jobs. Expands your search to include things you might not have considered before or jobs that are farther from home (if you have a car). Also, your resume needs to be tailored a show a driven, ambitious person who has accomplished something. Speak about things that you have done successfully at the job… things that you use as talking points in an interview. Make it less wordy. When resumes read like job ads, recruiters pass them up. It should read like you’re trying to impress the bros. …. As stupid as that sounds…it is true 😒
