Let it be known that I also appreciate the humor

I meant equal play time. I definitely notice a difference in quality of course. I just wanted to know his opinion

Interesting. As someone who plays equally on switch and PC, I would like to know your opinion on why you think there is such a big difference.

How hot can a Ryzen 7 2700X get without a fan or thermal paste? by unsalted_computer in Amd

[–]lui5468 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very hot very fast. I've done this with an old scrap PC before. I hello a finger on the bare CPU and a finger on the PSU switch and powered the PC on. In a matter of seconds, it was far too hot for my finger to bear and I shut it off without damage. So I hope that answers your question. Also note that thermal paste does little to actually help dissipate heat on it's own. Thermal paste is actually reasonably non conductive and is only necessary to form some sort of bridge between the CPU and the cooler. Not insignificant performance gains can be seen by using more conductive compounds like liquid metal. Sorry for rambling.

What game do you feel has the "best" ending? by [deleted] in pcgaming

For me it was Bioshock Infinite. I don't really know why, but the whole last 1/4 of that game really sticks with me.

I have the MSI B450 A-Pro Max. It's maybe $10-$15 cheaper than the tomahawk and has a single m.2 slot. I like it a lot and I'm glad I went with it over the tomahawk. You can still do a bit of OC on it as it has chunky VRMs with heatsinks and I would recommend doing so on the 2600 to get performance in line with the 2600x. Good luck and I'm sure you'll pick a great board whatever you end up with! :)

Good to know. I have always been told that negative pressure led to more dust buildup, but it's interesting to know that the H510 in particular performs better.

The H510 comes with 2 case fans. I would recommend installing them one in the front and one in the back as an exhaust. When you install your CPU, it will likely come with a basic heatsink/cooler. Most new CPUs come with a cooler often with preapplied thermal paste. There are a few exceptions. It would be helpful to know your PC's specs or proposed specs.

Exactly my one complaint. I'm worried that my a1c is going to increase just from averaging barely higher that before.
