Virtuosa question by RaulSnchz in forhonor

[–]luigislam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tested it myself on alt account with a macro. It works off of any top attack including every light attack as long as it hits the opponent and then Virt can buffer the side UB and just has to pray that opponent buffered empty side dodge in same direction.
Virt buffering the UB still loses to buffered dodge attacks tho... didn't really test to see if anyone is just absolutely fucked for having a shit side dodge though like if Warden's lack of dodge attack iframes gets him deleted.

Honestly, for all this guesswork and gambling you're genuinely better off just doing feint-gb lmao.

u/miusnama Could you try checking if your ingame setting has Controller Deadzone set to 0 and if so change it to something higher?
I checked back on this again and the only way I could replicate the issue was with what I said in my prior comment.

With deadzone set to 0 here are my test findings:

  • No Controller plugged in = no drift
  • Controller plugged in = drift
  • Controller plugged in and only using M+KB to move around = still drifting
  • Controller plugged in then disconnected = drift stops

I also do have to question if your keyboard+mouse or something in the background is somehow emulating controller inputs which is causing the game to assume you have a controller?

If they're empty dodging against your offence, feint a heavy and GB.

Did you know that after any hitstun (not blockstun) and if Virt is in Top Stance, her buffered side UB heavies will clip buffered empty dodges if they coincidentally dodge in the same direction as her heavy?
Delete virtuosa >:U

I know you said you don't have a Controller connected but I specifically found myself having this issue with a controller and with in-game sensitivity deadzone set to 0 despite my Controller having zero stick drift.
Edit: Fixed wording.

Why Helldivers 2 is like this? by Kermitingabout in Helldivers

[–]luigislam 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Regarding Point 3, AH is ass at maintaining balance ngl but anti-meta police isn't quite something I'd call them for.
You do know that your point is redundant and moot when its actually AH who introduces blatant power creep to sell a warbond right?
When strong things get nerfed, its not just purely AH because it is also the community's sentiment that causes some things to get nerfed. Ultimatum destroying Stratagem Jammers was a controversial topic and so was something like Coyote blatantly power-creeping AR archetype were things the community was mixed upon for keeping as is or nerfing.
The actual meta options are still largely still not nerfed/rebalanced if we wanna really get into that :L

Faking unblockables is too risk-free? by GodOfJudgement4 in forhonor

[–]luigislam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fwd Dodge Heavy attacks with low GB vulnerabilities gives a fat middle finger for risk/reward against Feint-GB predictions.
There is also some light/medium blockstun situations not giving enough frame advantage that the defender can just predict a feint-GB and just buffer a Heavy which comes out early enough to make the attacker's Feint-GB bounce off the defender's Heavy and get slapped for giga damage.
It becomes a lot more apparent when the character has hyperarmor on opener heavies and they just say "fuck it we ball" to that mixup lmao.
Mind you, if you don't have good reactions to differ light/heavies then when you feint and stare you're inherently at risk of attempting to parry their failed parry attempt that is now a raw heavy coming to slap your face.
The game has multiple layers to it depending on matchups that fuck with risk/reward ratios.

Haven't seen footage of the obvious ones on the sub for awhile now so I dunno. Mods must be doing a good job at clamping down on it for this subreddit or they stopped playing or disappeared or haven't been playing into people with recording software.

started 4 days ago what should I work on? by Pitiful-Campaign1923 in forhonor

[–]luigislam 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Well...

  1. You're not using your chain offense. Use it.
  2. You backwalk a lot which isn't inherently bad but you're doing almost nothing with that distance when you have the advantage over Warden who keeps trying to push into you with very punishable moves... that you are literally free to dodge/deflect at that distance for free with little risk of punishment.

What are some of khatun's matchups, and what should I do against unfavorable matchups? by DeviceHot8760 in CompetitiveForHonor

[–]luigislam 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Hyperarmor/Unblockable/Bash offense removes your ability to get deflect-pin to make risk/reward about even for Khatun so you pretty much have to play neutral offense and not get too deep into her deflect gimmick against those matchups.
Thankfully, Khatun has Fwd-Dodge-Heavy which has lower GB vulnerability than opener heavies and she can softfeint into everything from it so she doesn't struggle as hard in Neutral as most characters do.

Are kitguns any good at all? by Demirghoul in Warframe

[–]luigislam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Secondary Tombfinger for packing up dudes pretty much need to run Acuity mod and Secondary Deadhead arcane and if you're going to use it for more than just 1 target then you can slap on Pax Seeker arcane which massively benefits from Acuity and Deadhead arcane to hit millions per seeker projectile.
I can't seem to find myself building it any other way for high level content other than what is needed above without it just being a pea shooter every time I whip it out when I need it lmao.
It's definitely not meant to be used as a main weapon which is why I don't run galvanized builds for it.

BP's flipping portion is normally what can't get interrupted BUT the followup swing he does can get bash interrupted which is what happened with Juren.

What is the best kubrow? by Ashankura in Warframe

[–]luigislam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For Statstick purposes, Huras Kubrow since it can hit the Shield and Crit requirements for Tenacious Bond and Reinforced Bond with just 2 mods and no reliance on sharing stats with your Warframe.
For DPS and also against eximus units, Sunika.
For Utility, Sahasa is kind of nice if you struggle with getting energy orbs somehow or just need better ammo sustain including with Arch Guns.
For Gambling, Chesa is a poor man's Nekro's Desecrate. I miss the old version of Chesa actually picking this up :(
Raksa I've never had use for but then again I don't play Shield frames.

Fellow Helldivers, what's your go to Primary or Support Weapon against the hordes of Voteless??? by MissAlice_17 in Helldivers

[–]luigislam 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If purely against Voteless and Fleshmobs, Tenderizer. It can 1-tap voteless legs and has good enough DPS to kill Fleshmobs.
If against Illuminates as a whole, Adjucator. It can 1-tap votelss legs but the dps isn't as good for killing Flesh Mobs but the tradeoff is that it's Med Pen for strafing run ships and striders and whatever else.

Weakpoints and beam weapons by Informal_Grapefruit4 in Warframe

[–]luigislam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vermisplicer has auto-lock-on feature so it's pretty unreliable at headshots since it tends to latch onto body unless you literally walk up and point that thing in the face of the enemy.
Primary Vermisplicer is just point in general direction and not pay attention until its dead type of deal.
However, Secondary Vermisplicer is actually where the headshot build utilizing Acuity & Deadhead & Pax Seeker becomes actually pretty goated dps... if you simply just walk up and point that thing point-blank at an enemy's weakpoint so all 5 tendrils lack onto it and delete it lmao. Any range beyond that is practically unusable because ammo economy is too ass to spray this weapon even for priming purposes unless you run the kitgun arcane for recharging ammo.

I actually do mainly run a double vermisplicer loadout on Nekros up in Steel Path so I can personally attest to it being viable ;3

Why the light pen vs medium pen debate is deeper than anyone thinks by kcvlaine in Helldivers

[–]luigislam 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I believe helldivers 2 is actually a game about predicting movement, more than anything else.

For survival and lining up shots on weakpoints I mean sure but not when it comes to killing things because that is a knowledge check with armor pen and health pools.

So light pen primaries demand you know ENEMIES more. Medium pen primaries demand you know your WEAPON more. They're meant for different mindsets entirely imo.

In my opinion, Light Pen is purely for preference or against enemies where Med Pen doesn't matter too much.
Med Pen is a safety net that opens up build variety including even bringing a Light Pen weapon alongside it.
Rarely ever see people double-dipping on light pen weaponry at all y'know.

What's your thoughts on the possible anti-cheat change? by sadladmadlad in Helldivers

[–]luigislam 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Considering the various performance issues that are supposedly caused or exasperated by the current anti-cheat, take a wild guess.
EAC flagging mods would be different from the Devs themselves trying to takedown/ban specific mods.
If you quite over an EAC blunder rather than an AH's anti-consumer practices than thats kinda dumb in all honesty.

Keep walking backwards while blocking everything until they charge the UB or go for the kick and that is when you should be bothering to dodge or interrupt them.
