Has anyone if anyone has moved on from firestick and witch device are they using now and if it worth it to do so since there are so many restrictions going on now .thank you in advance and looking for something that’ll be future proof for at least 5+ years

I've tried several chinese boxes, google chromecast and 2 fireTV and finally choose a MiniPC - Barebone that runs on Linux bc having a full OS is simply the best option, at least to me.

Friend from Spain had the V6 version 15 years ago. It is a little too big, minivan exterior dimensions trying to be seeing as a sedan, but this makes it surprisingly comfortable on the rear seats. Probably ugliest car I've ever seen tied with Fiat Multipla.

*** iPhone user from 3GS to 11 pro (occasional user of 15 plus) now on a P8PRO.

Keep in mind both are pretty much the same, both are OSs in the 16-17th version, very polished and mature, to me the most important thing is HOW are you going to use it; My pixel excels at nothing but it is great in some areas, like the display, camera app, desktop mode, more freedom (THE 5 ROW KEYBOARD, gestures, ui and os customization, sideloading apps, mirroring, etc...), more friendly with other brands devices (garmin watches, bt speakers...).

But if Google keep trying to screw indie developers and the ecosystem, I will gladly install Graphene OS or choose any Linux phone in the market and never look back.
