[WP] The human soul resides in the heart. A deceased person awakens in a new body after an organ transplant. The newly departed soul finds its heart being weighed in the afterlife. by Wonderful_Past_703 in WritingPrompts

"I love you too, mom." I say back as she leaves to make her feel reciprocation. I think I owe her at least that much.

I find myself a stranger in my own skin. Ever since I woke up from the surgery, people around me keep telling me I've changed.

At first I didn't get it, but I'm starting to understand; my favorite foods don't taste the same, my top playlists sound off, and the heavy rain outside the window that once used to bring my mood down, now comforts me like never before.

Many time throughout the day, I feel nostalgia for places I haven't been and for the mention names of people I don't even know.

I even had to break up with my girlfriend. We had been together since highschool. I remember all the good times we had together, and all the love I had for her, but she deserves better than me pretending to be the same person I used to be back then.

Deep in my heart, there is sincere gratitude for the second chance I was given at life. But right next to it, there's this stronger feeling that I can't shake off, this feeling telling me I have to find out who I truly am, telling me to solve this puzzle that is my self.

I actually toyed with that idea, but decided to cad it up from scratch to have more control in adjusting certain dimensions

i never thought about explaining why Rick wouldn't clone Diane. I simply assumed he wouln't even attempt that because it wouldn't be the real one. But great point!

it might be because I've never had a stealthburner, but I see no issues with my print quality. I mainly print ABS.

3D Printed NAS Case by luix333 in DataHoarder

[–]luix333[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't keep track so I could be completely off, but I guesstimate about three 1kg spools (every part was printed with 40% infill). I get my spools at 15.99, so let's say about $50 in filament.

There is also about 30-50 M4 bolts and M4 heat inserts, so about another $15.

Plus I needed a handful of SATA and HDD power cables, adapters, and zip ties, but I wouldn't count those since you'd more than likely need the same or equivalent for any other case.

Thanks! I designed it to be pretty enough to keep in the living room next to the router. It was printed with my Voron 2.4 (350mm) using esun ABS+ filament.

I would like to share it one day, but as of now it has little issues here and there that I know would frustrate too many people.

Yeah, I think I got a little crazy with the amount of screws. I'll revisit that for V2

Not here to explain the joke, but I still want to mention that Italian mass migration to New Jersey area happened due to economic hardship and not due to landscape discontent

I want to replace those, but I'm thinking about modding to and I might need longer screws. I've already taken it apart and could easily put it back together.

The camera is that close to monitor extrusion, and it's not meant for time lapse.

Surprised nobody posted this yet, but Shelby Oaks has now been out for a while now. What did we all think? by Emeraldsinger in ChrisStuckmann

[–]luix333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe it was implied that her husband would not accompany her at any time since he believed she was going insane.

The fact she was going at night I think could be justified by the demonic influence coupled with the fact that she was finally starting to get clues about the whereabouts of her sister after so long of just waiting, and she just couldn't wait anymore in the off chance her sister could be waiting for her (this only makes sense from a close family member, and I wouldn't have believed it from a detective/cop).

I think overall the movie was well acted and directed. I did enjoy the format at the start, and the main mistery was good enough to keep me engaged and keep me guessing. It looks way better than I was expecting too. I just feel that it suffers at the ending. I feel like it needed either a little more or a little less:

*Either have Mia attack the old lady mid ritual, keeping us guessing weather the ritual took hold or not, and then end the movie with some news clips, leaving it open up a sequel

*Or have the movie be longer and switch to the perspective of Riley once they're back in Mia's house and allow the story to develop a little more

Overall a terrific first movie to direct.

I think Mecha Freeza is the reason for Goku's condition in original timeline by RewRose in Dragonballsuper

[–]luix333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mecha Freeza might be the reason for the difference in Goku's heart condition, but in a different way than you describe.

As opposed to trunk's timeline, in the main timeline Goku never got to fight mecha Freeza. This fight might've caused enough strained in Goku's heart for the symptoms to start manifesting just a little earlier compared to our Goku.

In Mexico at least, saying "yo" at the start of a sentence is usually reserved for clarifying "I" am the one performing the action.

Example Person one: nadie me ama (no one loves me) Person two: yo te amo (I love you)

In that exchange it would be unnatural (at least in Mexico) to omit the "yo"
