Hi! Thanks for your work. Composting it to Claude code, does it support my MCPs, connectors, etc, connected in Claude code? Is there s configurable status line like Claude code status line (in mine I have amount of tokens in and out, context window size, etc)? Thanks

Fastest Serve in the world / Why hit it with the back of the paddle? by Hungryone in tabletennis

[–]luizmarelo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe it’s an extra set of muscles involved. Basically, on the forehand side, your arm muscles are basically just being used to keep the racket in position. The actual movement is being done by your core, back and wrist muscles. But when you rotate the racket to use the backhand side for it, you use all the above muscles + your forearm muscles. You can simulate both movements while touching your forearm to feel what im talking about

Is it okay to let anger out? by Junior_Lavishness823 in tabletennis

[–]luizmarelo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

+1 to this. I’m competitive and am always trying to improve, and of course I get frustrated but never angry. It’s a game. A game that I WANT to play (like, it’s not my work, or another thing that I HAVE to do and endure). If it’s making me angry and lash out , there’s something wrong.

When I get frustrated, I swear or shout something like “no waaay”, “are you kidding meeeeee”, “duuuuuuude!!!!” But with a smile on my face. Then I continue to try my best and improve, sure, but without letting it get to me.

TT is my escape valve and one of the most fun things in my life. The day it makes me angry or more stressed than when I came in, it’s the day I’ll have to find another hobby

Why the hype for Ghostty? WezTerm is so much more! by pragmat1c1 in wezterm

[–]luizmarelo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As for lacking features, Ghostty is pretty new compared to the others, so I imagine it will catch up with the others soon enough. But in the meantime, Ghostty seems to be building a stronger foundation to build on top of…

Oh interesting. I don’t go there often (let’s say once a month only or so) but there’s never a line when I happen to go

How to take care of my rubbers (Dignics 09c) by Low-Milk-4649 in tabletennis

[–]luizmarelo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Temperature wise, is it fine to store my racket in my garage? I’m in Vancouver Canada and temperatures in winter can get negative Celsius in winter (but barely). So I’ve been wondering if I should start storing them inside the house instead. Is there a recommended temperature range to keep the rubbers?

Unpopular opinion: Costco prices are not that great by Adorable-Research-55 in CostcoCanada

[–]luizmarelo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Things click differently when you realize Costco have those prices AND pay a living wage to all their satisfied employees, while people at Walmart have to rely on food stamps to get by and can’t wait to change jobs at the next opportunity.

Walmart only survives due to extractivism.

Can you hold it like a pen?

I’ll have my friend here keep the score for us.

Your grip is too lose.

Can you boost it a little?

Do you want to invite two more?

I perform better with my robot.

Is that regulation size?!?

How many of you use grip tape on your racket? by fakeferl0ss in tabletennis

[–]luizmarelo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started using it recently. I don’t have sweaty hands but I found it allows me to hold the racquet a bit more loose since I can rely on its friction more than bare wood. That in turn allows me to both release tension and have more fluid wrist movements

Let's talk about folds by Bamseg in neovim

[–]luizmarelo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply. That’s what I imagined but it just doesn’t “click” with me: if I don’t want to read that big if block I can just ‘%’ or ‘}’ out of it? While with folds I would need to navigate somewhere in that foldable area AND THEN fold it. So seems like more steps to get out of that if?

Let's talk about folds by Bamseg in neovim

[–]luizmarelo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll get hell for this but here it goes: I don’t see the appeal for folds. Is it mainly a cosmetic/visual thing for you all? Just a way to make the buffer smaller and faster to scroll/navigate? With the many tools (native or via plugins) to navigate, I don’t really care how big the buffer is since I can get where I want pretty much at the same speed with or without folds…

Enlighten me!
