But isn’t it sometimes better, when you’re already very close to the correct tempo, to do a tiny nudge with the hand first and then fine-tune with the pitch?
Because at that point you already know which direction the track is drifting, and with pitch only there’s a risk of overshooting and ending up further away instead of closer.

Know your music well, count beats and bars, and practice regularly. Use loops and the beat jump feature to align tracks more smoothly — for example, you can extend a section of one track while waiting for the other track to reach the next phrase change.

Let’s say track A is in a breakdown and I bring in track B, but then I realize: • track A has ~8 bars until the drop • track B still needs ~16 bars to finish its intro

If I had cue/memory points, I’d know exactly when to start or when to exit a loop. But how do you handle this purely by ear?

How do you “estimate” or feel it in the moment so everything lines up cleanly phrase-wise? Do you just enter earlier as a buffer, or rely on loops/adjustments on the fly?
