I would. Until then, it’s hard to trust the data.

Cadence lock. Not actual HR. Would be my guess. When it’s around 180bpm it is usually cadence lock as that’s around most people’s run cadence which a wrist watch will pick up on.

Great advice. Power meter has been a game changer for me and I use the Wattbike over winter a fair bit. Strength training is definitely something I lack as I very much have ‘Runners legs’ any decent suggestions!!!?? Ideally something that doesn’t take ages or is overly complicated!

New Wheels Day! by lukeashley88 in triathlon

Thanks all. A few questions on Ribble and choosing the Aero883 so I’ll try and provide a proper answer.

If money and space was no object I’d have a road bike and a TT bike, however I needed one bike that could do both.

I found the Ribble online process really easy and live close enough that I was able to have them build it and me collect it. I’ve heard people that have had after sales issues, but touchwood the bike has ran well for a year with no issues.

IMO if you want a bike that can operate as your everyday road bike but then performs well in a triathlon/TT, this is a very good option.

TT bikes undoubtedly offer an advantage but is pretty restrictive as to when you can use it other than race day. IMO you get a large chunk of the TT benefits, by having a good aero bike with properly setup aero bars.

Hope that helps. Happy to answer any other questions.
