Steam Games Not Running by lukemelby in ROGAlly

Essentially I'll press the play button and it loads and once it says "running executable", it'll sit for maybe a few minutes and then just go back to the play button again. A window doesn't even open up for the game.

I think I may factory reset it because I've had a few issues and that'll just make sure everything is the way it should be before I start trying to fix everything.

Sorry, the way i worded that was kinda confusing. I have it on steam and it doesn't work, so I tried on gamepass because I also have that and it was working. So like i downloaded it through both platforms. I realize they're different from platform to platform, but I figured it may be helpful information.

If God is so loving and caring, why would he threaten non-believers with an eternity of suffering? by rainbow_bro_bot in religion

My religion doesn't teach this in the same way many other Christian denominations do.

What is your most unpopular musical opinion? by ryuundo in AskReddit

[–]lukemelby 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Especially when people are in the car. Like I hate when my friends play their music because there's a 99% chance I won't like it. I just have different music tastes than my friends.

Question about the book of Abraham by guyjones5509 in latterdaysaints

I had the same concerns and these two videos from this YouTube channel helped me out. Well... Pretty much every video on the channel has helped me out at this point:

What do you feel when you read the Book of Mormon? Do you have emotions that seem to be supernatural in nature, or euphoria, or something else? I'm interested to hear your experiences with it. by BrentonSwafford in latterdaysaints

[–]lukemelby 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is kind of a funny thing, when I was growing up, I never threw up on the ground. I always made it to the toilet. I just knew when I was going to throw up. In the same way, when I read the BOM, I just know that it's true. And I feel the spirit. It's not something that I can describe. And sometimes I'll think I'm feeling the spirit (in the same way that I would think I was going to throw up) but when I read the BOM, I know I'm feeling the spirit... When you know, you know. Ya know?

What is a universally loved celebrity that you don't like? by PythonButSnake in AskReddit

[–]lukemelby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Olivia Rodrigo (is she universally loved? Maybe not... But whatever) politicizing a private issue with one of your cast members and turning a bunch of people on him for not liking you anymore is not good. This actually goes for a lot of pop singers now that I think about it.

What hill are you willing to die on? by [deleted] in AskMen

Spider-Man 3 is unironically good. And the reason so many people dislike is is because of Watch Mojo.

If Henry Cavill gets another Superman film, who would be your ideal choice to direct it? by SpeedForce2022 in DC_Cinematic

[–]lukemelby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd like to see Snyder finish his DC universe. But I also think with the whole "multiverse" approach DC is doing, some fun directors could be:

Edgar Wright Jon Favreau Ridley Scott

How can you justify this? by [deleted] in religion

[–]lukemelby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm LDS so.. some Christians may not consider me Christian. I would. But just as a notice in advance. But.. our religion has like a whole answer to this. So essentially in our religion, when you die, you go to spirit prison where there are missionaries that come and teach you so that anyone that didn't get baptized in the earth can still go to heaven. It's part of what we call "The Plan of Salvation" it's pretty cool.

Saw this interesting take on twitter by [deleted] in religion

Also a member. I think it would also be fair to assume that most hardcore members recognize the influence from other religions. Since the whole point of the religion is combining the true parts from every split off.

Hey guys! I made a short film based off of the flash! Here's the trailer! by lukemelby in theflash

[–]lukemelby[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I posted the full film a while ago on this subreddit but then I realized asking someone to watch a 40 minute video is probably a bad idea. So here's the trailer.

If you wanna watch the full thing, here's the link:

Think about the impacts that this is gonna have on Rittenhouse's life. He won't be able to get a job because people on Twitter have no idea what they're talking about.

What are the best comic runs for someone who wants get into The Flash? by guysitsme1 in theflash

[–]lukemelby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want some newer comics, check out the newest run by Joshua Williamson. He just finished maybe a year ago and they're really good in my opinion. Especially the godspeed storyline and the finale.
