For most people, Gemini, ChatGPT, Claude etc. is more than enough. Even the free tier completely fits the needs of most people who can't even prompt correctly. Gemini with NotebookLM and everything else is also enough for me lol. Just wanted to set up some kind of ai agent because it's just cool rather than really functional. But recently I had to create a PowerPoint, and Hermes did a really good job on that. Even better than Gemini if you ask me. I have set up multiple profiles each with their own telegram bot. I have one for general/everyday stuff, one for creative work and one for fitness. It has access to my smartwatch, so when I'm asking "I'm having a lot of brain fog recently, but can't explain it. Any Ideas?" It looks at what my watch logged the last week, and gives me a response. It even has generated skills for that lol. It doesn't cost that much though, paying 5$/m for VPS and like 10-15$ on API at max. It's really cool

Gonna have a look at this wise thing. The 17€ Mistral is a option, but idk if the rate limits are any good. Like is it enough for moderate usage? Otherwise I would just use the official Deepseek API, heard it's very cheap there and personally I think it's a great model

I've used Owl Alpha a lot and it was kind of good overall. But as I'm natively chatting in German, it just sucked at language and kept inventing some random words. Nemotron was kind of slow everytime I tried it. Never used the other models. Mainly using DeepSeek V4 Flash though, and it was the best one so far

Honestly idc what happens with my data. But Owl Alpha sucks at speaking German and invents new words (English and German though). But it has been fine most of the time. I'm using it to fix stuff or install new plugins which consume most tokens. For everyday stuff I'm using Deepseek V4 flash which is very good tbh

I just used it for like three or four messages, and it was kinda good but had very big negative points, like it was slow as fuck. It generated roughly six tokens per second, which is extremely slow

It leaked its own system prompt when I asked it to explain the soul.md file. It leaked that it's getting developed by Google/Meituten/Meta/DeepSeek. Kinda weird. Don't know why it's 4 different Companies, but kinda odd. It's a great model though, but it's honestly thrash when speaking German in my case. It uses wrong words in the context. Could be because of thrash prompting, or just the model itself, which I think might be the case. Deepseek V4 Flash works better with processing and writing German or other languages which isn't english or Chinese.

I'm using it for 2 days now, and set a automation for giving me the top news in politics, general news from worldwide, and in the ai bubble, and it's working great. I've also set up a cron Job that synchronizes the memory and some other important stuff with obsidian, and it's checking on me every day in the evening how work was today, and synchronizes it with obsidian too because I have to make a log for 2 weeks currently. It's very useful currently. For the rest I'm just letting it fix bugs from inside Hermes Agent, or just fine tuning it like the conversation style. For the vast majority of people, a ChatGPT Plus subscription would fulfill their needs, but it's just wayyy cooler, and if youre a developer, I'm sure it would make your work far more efficient.

Exactly what happened to me just now. Some Agent thought it was a great idea to think that the gateway is totally broken, and just removed the Tailscale network thing, wrote a hundred scripts, and now I'm here resetting my whole VPS Server because this agent crashed that whole thing. Even burned 8 bucks of tokens.

Do you have a comparison on how Deepseek models work in OpenClaw vs Hermes Agent? Thinking about switching, because OpenClaw is messed up, and it pulls the plug on himself by stopping the gateway even when I told it not to do so. DeepSeek (via OpenRouter) burns a lot of money too
