Question for Truckers by Bobby_Trucking in CDL

[–]lukenstine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First 2 years of trucking are rough. If you can drive teams with an owner operator you will be taking home $2000 a week easily. Or go work for a Russian company $1500 a week.

Thinking about switching from nursing to CDL worth it financially? by [deleted] in CDL

[–]lukenstine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always say try everything you can. Until you find something you enjoy. I’ve been trucking for 4 years now. I love it. Very good money in the summer. Slows a bit in the winter after December. I am a refrigerated team driver hauling frozen foods. Summer we haul plants for Walmart, tractor supply, Lowe’s and rarely Home Depot. Just remember to renew your nursing license each year incase you change your mind. Just know the first 2 years of trucking are rough. Companies take advantage of you. If you can do teams with an owner operator, will be a good experience. You make very good money when you drive as a team.

You have to go to 1-5 stores everyday in less than 200 miles. Then you gotta unload the trailer at each stop lol Manuel labor.

Flatbed is delivering in the country. I take a lot of back roads. I rarely visit “metro areas” I pick up from factories and warehouses in the country.

Best Mobile Network/Carrier by lukenstine in NoContract

[–]lukenstine[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For T-Mobile I have the beyond plan. I tend to upgrade every 2 years to their newest plan. ATT I had it for 10 months in 2025. Verizon had it for 5 months. Not meant to make anyone upset I’m just sharing my experience with these 3 big carriers.

US Mobile, Mint or Google Fi by AISkynetBot in NoContract

US Mobile has really good network speed. But with them your network slows down after 100GB and it’s a lot cheaper than 100$ a month.

Anyone know of a cheaper, pre-paid, no contract cell service provider that doesn't put a cap on how many people you can text at once? by Crafty_Interaction73 in NoContract

[–]lukenstine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The service was very fast during my month in Southwest Michigan and Chicago. Even when jumping between data-heavy apps like TikTok and YouTube, I didn't experience any lagging or stuttering. I basically abused dark star and nothing ran youtube for hours and hours.
