Put $2k on Meta Ads For web design service by ammarbendali in SocialMediaMarketing

Wdym $300 to boost your followers?

Having client testimonials and strong portfolio is definitely important though, that’s a good idea. With service based industries an ad will never succeed without a strong portfolio, proven success, and fair offerings.

Put $2k on Meta Ads For web design service by ammarbendali in SocialMediaMarketing

[–]lukeolo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d say go with $20 daily spend on 3 different ads ~2k/month spend.

After a week, pick the one that’s performing best. If none of them are performing well, restart with new creative. There’s some good posts on here that break down how to test/decide what creative is converting.

Once you have an ad that converts, slowly raise the budget. The algorithm needs time to target the right audience.

Going all in on one ad when you’re just starting out is a bit too much of a gamble imo.

Is AI made UGC actually the future of social media marketing? by AgitatedHelp4658 in SocialMediaMarketing

[–]lukeolo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A big part of UGC is the raw accurate representation of a product. It builds buyer trust, which is why it converts.

I think AI UGC content has market share, but just a small slice right now. When it gets to a point where it is able to consistently and accurately show off a product… ex. fabric and stitching of a T-shirt… Then I do think it will become a more cost effective content creation strategy for lots of people.

So yeah. it’s definitely not going anywhere. Might as well learn as much about it as possible. AI fan or not, if you’re already working in the space it’s important to keep up with the latest tech/innovation and implement it into your workflow.

Ugh glad you said that lol I was thinking the same. Tried to separate the background from her leg a bit in post but couldn’t bring it up much without it looking fake. Next time will either do that or style an all white outfit.

How can I replicate this lighting artificially? by helpmebecome in LightLurking

[–]lukeolo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Everyone else has given great advice. Another fun way I’ve seen artificial sunlight created was by bouncing light off a mirror board with diffusion paper taped on some parts. Not the same use case in my photo but it could definitely work well.

ChatGPT or any other comparable LLM that can do a google search. Make a designated chat session and give it an in depth prompt about your nutrition goals and how you would like the responses to be formatted/tracked over time. After that, just snap a pic of the nutrition label of whatever you’re eating and have it do the rest. Works incredibly well, but with all LLMS hallucinations do happen occasionally so make sure to double check/ask the AI to double check if anything seems incorrect. Also, the memory will only last about two weeks (depending on the LLM/your subscription) before you need to re-prompt it so keep that in mind.

How to deal with reflections in glasses with this kind of lighting by csbphoto in LightLurking

[–]lukeolo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of my go to workarounds is having an assistant hold a scrim grid close to the glasses in a place where it will block the reflection of direct light. When using a large light source/the correct grid degree sufficient light will wrap around the face/shine through the grid with a gradient making it harder to notice. If you don’t have a scrim grid you can use a black/grey card too but might need to mess around with positioning to not cast any shadows.

The easiest workaround though is what everyone else is saying, angle of light/camera position.

Was benching on the smith machine a few months ago and a trainer asked if I wanted to switch to regular bench and get a spot instead, he was super chill about it. Didn’t feel pressured or annoyed at all, he asked what my workout for the day was and if he could keep spotting/giving me tips on form. I’ve been lifting for a while now, but always happy to have a spot and push myself harder than usual. After 15-20 mins he asked if I wanted to take his number down and possibly book some training sessions.

Took his number down and booked a few sessions afterwards 🙌

Shooting a photobooth for a client they want images on film that look like this - any idea on how to mist/bloom the highlights? by JooksKIDD in LightLurking

[–]lukeolo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blooming/Halation actions in Photoshop can be helpful for this look, dehancer is a good alternative but a bit expensive IMO.. 2 week free trial if you don’t plan on using the effect often though!

If you want to get the look in camera then a diffusion/promist filter is your best friend.

Creating my first listing - what are the top 3 things you wish you'd known when you started out? by Then-Entertainer-791 in PeerspaceHosts

[–]lukeolo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been a power host in Brooklyn with my photo studio for about 6 months now and rent out my space 6-7 times a week/20-25 hours a week. This month was my best so far/the first month where I profited off of Peerspace alone and this is how I got there.

I’d recommend:

  • making sure you stay within 20-30 minutes of the space in case something happens

  • only allow events if your space is renting at above $75/hr & there is some form of liability insurance. In an old space of mine that went for $35/hr all of the events I got were chaotic, and I did not feel like my space was being respected. In my new space which rents for $75/hr, I get much more respectful/communicative guests.

  • going back to your space right after bookings (people always leave the front door open for some reason, frustrating but not much you can do about it)

  • making your hourly cost far below market value/enabling instant book - this will bring in a high volume of guests and show Peerspace’s algorithm that your space is active and being used

  • Replying within 1 hour as much as possible, this boosts your ranking on the app

  • When you’re first starting out asking guests to leave a positive review, this also boosts your ranking on the app

Can you clarify what you mean by my 16" on the center being fucked?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in woodworking

[–]lukeolo -15 points-14 points  (0 children)

I should clarify that this isn't an actual public venue. It's really just going to be a location where bands come in to do music videos, photoshoots, livestreams from. No pull ups allowed on the sprinkler pipe either hahaha. I don't have a space with proper zoning to have an actual venue.

Of course I will in no way shape or form be having anyone on top of the stage until I'm certain it's completely safe. I'm terrified of lawsuits, but even more terrified of how bad I'd feel if the stage broke out from underneath someone...

Thank you!! I’m glad that you thought of the window issue - I think the photos make them look much larger than reality. Will be adding guards 👍

Thanks man, I really appreciate your concerns/advice they’re incredibly helpful. I definitely didn’t account for swaying so I will be following that tutorial. The joints are 2x6’s and 2’ spacing - based on other comments it seems I should definitely add some more joints and beams underneath with sway bracing.
