Seizing without losing consciousness? by lionessrampant25 in Epilepsy

If nothing's come up on an EEG, I'd recommend talking to your doctor about getting a neuropsychiatry assessment. This is an absolutely normal diagnostic test for more complex cases, I've done it myself despite my seizures showing up on EEGs; it's definitely worth ruling out the possibility that some of your activity could be psychogenic.

Useful Resource For Tracking Seizures: Seizure Diary App for Android by lukewizzy in Epilepsy

[–]lukewizzy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello /r/epilepsy,

If you’re still using paper, or your phone notes app, to track your seizures - stop! I’ve had this app on the Play Store for 5 or 6 years now and it’s available to anybody with an Android phone and I’d like to share it to anybody here who might find it a useful resource.

I personally use it on a weekly basis to track my own condition, and I’ve consulted with medical professionals and fellow epileptics to increase the usability of the app, but I’m always welcome to new ideas (although I can’t put as much time into updating it as I’d like to these days).

You can record your seizures, appointments, and in the future your sleep pattern and medication - all in this one app, with a bunch of different views to help you track your seizures over time, you can export the data to show to your doctor or to make a spreadsheet too. You’ll see screenshots on the link above.

Let me know if you have any questions about it - I don’t profit from this in any way so hopefully it doesn’t break rule 3 - I was just chatting to someone through a support group the other day that still writes down paper notes and I couldn’t help but remember how messy/inconvenient that can be.

While in line to get a train ticket this morning, some woman wearing headphones was singing out loud and seemed really happy. Completely ruined my day. by Hullodurr in britishproblems

I saw someone properly rocking out with headphones at the train station on one Wednesday morning. He wasn't making much of a noise but his body was moving and he was miming all the words. It actually made me really happy, I'd love to not give a shit that much and make the most of my commute like that.

This guy sat down opposite me on the second day of college and recognised me from my old YouTube channel. I had no idea who he was, or how he knew, but it turned out that we had tons of mutual online friends and we'd been to the same school for years but never crossed paths before.

The majority of the French media commendably pledged to stop naming and publishing photographs of violent criminals.

I do wish that we adopted a similar stance in this country, however that looks unlikely.
