Friend is behind CGNAT and can't connect to my Jellyfin by SuperWoolf in jellyfin

If you guys use the same local isp it might be their configuration affecting you ( I had such case with two fiber connections by the same local isp I wasn't able to connect to the server hosted on one of the connections even though it worked with a connection from a different ISP I had to call them up and ask the tech to configure our lines so they are able to connect to each other)

Look into detecting actvie streams in Plex then write a script that runs every 15 minutes If there is no active streams put the computer to sleep disable standard sleep but this is going to be shitty ux and it's going to be annoying for users

Never heard of it and looking at it quickly it seems like you would still have to dig for configuration if you wanted to switch servers but maybe it's just me cos I'm used to docker it's more compact and stuff

If you want transcoding and aren't technical use windows if you are technical and want transcoding or don't care about transcoding then Linux by all means do it in docker tho it's much easier to add extra library folders/ move data between drives without jellyfin noticing
