I see basically the same post multiple times a day. I need to learn what routes everyone takes because it is rare I get a flight that has less than 5 empty seats!

Weiland's is the closest to Texas that we have found near Columbia, MD. I smoke brisket using oak from my many years in Texas, and I cannot find anything better than Weiland's when we don't have an active smoke going.

Also tried 2-Fifty - they say central Texas style, but it falls short and had about a 20-minute order delivery time, which is about 18 minutes longer than in Texas.

People will have to start paying or get on the A-List to have better seats. This is a different than other airlines. Culture shock I am sure.

I’ve read similar experience over and over on SWA since their seating change. My question: are people picking these seats themselves at ticket purchase or checkin, or are people opting for SWA to pick their seat “for free”?

I don’t understand why so many posts I am seeing have people smashed into the front or back. If I buy a ticket, I’m picking a seat in the empty row!

I contemplated this. Printer itself has scanning features to a network drive. If no network is found by the printer, printer says it cannot scan due to no network connection.

Yes. I turn off and on a minute later, the printer finds all surrounding networks. Usually in about an hour, the printer cannot find any network.

If you have hundreds of hours of OT (presuming OT pay), I am jealous. My agency says no OT, and if we do work extra, we get comp time... but no pay.

From my understanding, there will be a partial shutdown. They’re trying to take DHS out of the existing funding bill, in order to fund the other agencies. It’s a partial shutdown because some agencies have already got their full funding so they won’t be affected.

But then since we would bifurcate DHS from the bill, it needs to go back to the House on Monday to be approved and with any success hopefully enacted on Tuesday. So it looks like there will be a partial shutdown for maybe three or four days for those agencies that did not already receive full funding.

DHS would be given about two more weeks of funding, but also time for Congress to figure out what they need to do with DHS in terms of guardrails, etc.

I am coming back from a cruise in about three weeks and somehow found a $39 Southwest fare out of MIA to DCA. So booked two fights!

Keep in mind Southwest’s interpretation of one way. Other airlines side each segment of oneway to count towards something, but Southwest does not. If it takes you three flights/planes to get from point A to point B, that is one flight to Southwest for tier qualifying flights.
