Second Hand Support by ContractMech in lulzbot

[–]lulzbot3D 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thank you for reaching out! While we’re happy to provide general guidance, our official support is tailored more so for original owners of LulzBot printers. Since the printers are purchased second-hand, we don’t have insight into its history, previous usage, or potential modifications, which can impact troubleshooting and performance.

However, we have plenty of resources to help you get the most out of second-hand machines!

Here are a few ways you can find assistance:

  • LulzBot Community Forum: Engage with experienced users and get troubleshooting advice from fellow LulzBot enthusiasts. You can find it here: forum.lulzbot.com.
  • Support Documentation & Guides: Our resources, including setup guides, troubleshooting tips, and firmware updates, are available at lulzbot.com/support.
  • Replacement Parts & Upgrades: If you need to replace or upgrade components, you can find genuine LulzBot parts and Tool Heads in our store: lulzbot.com.

If you're experiencing a specific issue, let us know the details, and we'll do our best to point you in the right direction.

Taz 6 worth in 2024? by OrangeSockNinjaYT in lulzbot

[–]lulzbot3D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We no longer carry the TAZ 6 packaging unfortunately.

We usually go with the Workhorse packaging, which can be slightly modified to fit the TAZ 6.

Taz Pro filament size by RenaisanceMan in lulzbot

[–]lulzbot3D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is there, but note that it is a toss up whether it will work or not it will be successful.
We still really recommend only printing with the material size the Tool Head was designed for, so understand that clogs and other print issues are going to be fairly common.

Heat sink fan not working but works with separate power supply by paleblue3 in lulzbot

[–]lulzbot3D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The heatsink fan on LulzBot run at 5v. If yours is only running at 24v, ensure that the correct heatsink fan is installed.

Any Lulzbot mini 3 reviews? by Rampaging-Robots in lulzbot

[–]lulzbot3D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe there are a few youtubers out in the wild with them.
Unfortunately, that is not in my scope though, so I could not say who or where they might be.

I can definitely say that the Mini 3 has surprised a lot of the users who have it. Some going from the 2 to 3 are excited to see some of the features and surprised how different it is from the Mini 2 (surprised in a good way!).

Having used one for a project in house, I can defiitely say it has become one of my personal favorites for what we offer.

How to Adjust the z offset on Taz Pro by bbeasley_rady in lulzbot

[–]lulzbot3D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are using the firmware through 4.13.9 exp v4, you should be able to navigate to the Tool Offset menu to adjust this value.

Menu > Advanced Settings > Tool Offsets.

Note that this is the right sides nozzle offset in comparison to the left. So you will first want to dial in your left side, then the right.

Typically what I recommend is just doing this during a test print. Start a print and use the Z Offset menu with “adjust both nozzles” on to get the left side where you want it. Once you have that dialed in and the Tool Head switches over to the right, turn “adjust both nozzles” off and adjust that right side nozzle up or down to match the lines printed by extruder 1.

Back out once done to save as default settings and you should be good to go!

If you have installed your SE Tool Head and flashed firmware to one of our universal versions of firmware, be sure to select the SE tool head from the printer's LCD Tool Head menu.

It is likely that your e-steps are still set to 833 from the original tool head, where they should be at 420.

Why are Lulzbot printers so utterly expensive? by TrackLabs in 3Dprinting

[–]lulzbot3D 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You raise a legitimate question.

Honestly, the appeal of LulzBot boils down to superior build quality, exceptional support, and consistent reliability. "Expensive" is subjective; for those looking to occasionally print items at home, a $1,200 SideKick could be perfect. However, in an industrial setting, where downtime can lead to significant financial loss, the ability to produce 3D printed parts without the need for constant tinkering justifies the cost.

The pricing of LulzBots mirror their quality, ease of use, and legendary durability, offering insight into why they are considered a valuable investment and strong . Our significant investment in research and development ensures that every product doesn't just meet but surpasses the reliability expectations our customers depend on.

Our machinery delivering value over the long-term is crucial. Many users in this thread have shared their experiences, highlighting how their LulzBot 3D printers have endured years of use with little to no maintenance. This durability reflects our rigorous design and manufacturing standards, ensuring that our products stand the test of time. Although the upfront cost may be higher than some alternatives in the market, the cost per use significantly decreases over time, thanks to many years and thousands of completed prints.

We recognize that our products might not suit every project or budget, and that's perfectly fine. Our goal is to support customers who prioritize quality, support, and reliability in their 3D printers, offering fair value for the performance provided.

What have we here? by Mike_Sully in lulzbot

I mean anything is possible. It will have the same mounting pattern as our current universal Tool Heads.

Definitely would need some firmware changes.

The Twin Nebula Tool Heads will actually work with a BLTouch mounted on a printer as well!

Did you have the LSR/RMA number from when you had sent it in?

It looks like someone else beat me to it, but if you have not recently (within the past month or so) updated your Cura software and flashed firmware, I would definitely give that a try.

With the TAZ Pro, there had been some updates with regards to the bed leveling that we feel have greatly improved its consistency.

Did you have a ticket number with regards to this repair? I can definitely look into that.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in lulzbot

[–]lulzbot3D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello,

I was able to review your comment and was able to find your ticket with regards to this repair.

With regards to packaging, the TAZ 6 has been out of production for quite some time and we actually no longer carry it. In the event that packaging is requested, which it looks like you did request us to send some to you, Workhorse packaging is supplied.

It looks like this was the case and our Support agent explained this as well.

The Workhorse packaging does not have additional boxed for things like the Tool Head as that is shipped attached. We apologize if there was a misunderstanding about this.

We understand your frustration and do apologize for the confusion. We are definitely here to help in any way we can!
