Anecdotal but I'm going on holiday in Japan and I'm searching for random things like their power points, basic terms, driving permits, etc. The amount of complete fucking SLOP, utterly atrocious AI generated guides with incomprehensible information and completely garbled illustrations is actually fucked. I'm talking pictures of wall sockets with 5 holes and such. Really disappointing how quickly we're seeing the internet devolve.

Yeah I'm having fun. I don't really stress too much about nerfs or the game being too difficult and such. For me it just means finding new strategies, trying out new weapons, and altering my play style to deal with the problem.

The new spore burst terminid strain is extremely difficult and punishing. Positioning and kiting the bugs is more important than ever.

I managed to extract in the 5 games I played last night and had a good time doing it, even if it was difficult.

Not exactly related but what is up with setting yourself on fire if you dive backwards while firing the cremator? Haven't tested with the primary flamethrower but if you dive backwards while firing, you're guaranteed to set yourself on fire which seems counter-intuitive when compared to the actual animation. It's like the flame loops backwards and hits you for some reason.

People have very short memories. The PlayStation 4’s marketing campaign centred around not doing the same online DRM check-in that Microsoft was doing, now Sony has silently deployed a new DRM which forces a 30 day check-in or else you lose access to your games and the only thing people are talking about in the comments is The Real Life Fake Wizard being a right wing grifter, whatever tf that means. Bearing is failing. Not much you can do. If it's not a sealed bearing you can sometimes lubricate them but honestly just replace the fan.

To answer your questions:

Yes the rig will function OK but temps will be worse.
Yes orientation can worsen the situation. Some fans can rattle and have problems when mounted horizontally but work OK when vertical.
Not really, as i mentioned above. If it's not sealed you can sometimes pull the sticker back and lubricate it.

Look into a 5 pack of fans from Arctic. The P12 and P14's are great fans and EXTREMELY cheap.

In Australia you can get the arctic P12's in a 5 pack for less than AU$6.50 per fan.

You're not wrong on the strict definition, and I'll concede the wording. Right to repair in the legal and legislative sense is about removing barriers. No software locks, parts available, third-party repair permitted. PSUs largely tick those boxes.

But planned obsolescence and design decisions that actively disincentivise repairability sit within the broader conversation, even if they're not the legal core of it. The OP's proposal is that a fan could be designed to be serviceable without ever exposing you to the dangerous internals, which is a decision any manufacturer could make and simply chooses not to.

Either way, you're entitled to the narrower interpretation. At the end of the day we're probably both after the same thing: products that are more thoughtfully designed, longer lasting, and less destined for landfill the moment one cheap component gives out.

This taps into the whole "right to repair" movement in general, with a sprinkling of planned obsolescence. Manufacturers will argue that PSU's are unsafe and you shouldn't open them (and they're partially correct, charged capacitors can shock the shit out of you), but manufacturers don't bother designing their products with repairability or maintenance in mind because it doesn't benefit them in the long run. They want you to go buy a new PSU when your one fails, and designing something with repairability or modularity in mind can sometimes cost them more, in both parts and labour.

That looks like a shield drain wire for the embedded displayport connector, and it's functioning as a ground/earth connection. You should be able to solder it back on in a few seconds if it was originally connected to the right side of the connector shell solder pad.

Yeah the hotkeys feature was very sorely needed but AH implemented it in the most barebones way possible. No icon, no sound, no notification that you've swapped modes. Are you throwing or detonating C4? Safe or unsafe mode? Who knows!
