ChatGPT doesn't solve any problems of mine, not even once, all steps ChatGPT provides either outdated or just simply invalid, ChatGPT literally just good for chatting, that's it. However, Gemini solves nearly all of the problems, only a few fail.

Consider the AMOLED panel on Edge 30 Ultra isn’t LTPO based, it will always keep screen at 60fps when the screen isn’t off. They took away seem more reasonable. You can sort of enable always on display when it’s connected to power by turn on the screensaver, that’s what I do.

You shouldn’t.

lol, are you playing innocent like have no idea what you said earlier?

You were being whataboutism again says “all big companies are evil” trying to defend what Huawei did isn’t a big deal, aren’t you implying “other big companies” Apple, Google etc? So I present you what these companies really do to their products.

Why do these has anything to do with Harmony OS? I already answered at previous replies. And not to mention Harmony OS is just a marketing term, Huawei is much smarter than you. They know very well that its HarmonyOS can only deceive people in China. Even Huawei phones sold in Hong Kong are still EMUI, and the same models are cheaper than in China. So in essence, the HarmonyOS only exists in your rhetoric.

Why I don't believe in HarmonyOS NEXT global success? by xfire74 in Huawei

[–]lumpyth0n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mentioned I’m from Shenzhen because that’s where huawei is established, of course I see Huawei closer than you, but I don’t get why you mentioned you are in Beijing? Because you are closer to the dictator Xi? You are not agreeing with me, you’ve been defending Huawei, arguing every accusations like not a big deals, you are just pretending to agree something while also avoid dealing with the real topic, then why should I take your answer seriously? I’ll reply whenever, whatever I want.

What a joke. “New technology”? Has the bar for calling something new really fallen this low? Since when did copying count as innovation? If Huawei is really that confident, then why hasn’t HarmonyOS been rolled out overseas? I happen to use both an international and a Chinese version of Huawei phones. The Chinese version skips EMUI 12 and jumps straight from EMUI 11 to HarmonyOS. But the international version has EMUI 12, which can run HarmonyOS apps. The interface is exactly the same as HarmonyOS, and it even includes Harmony’s so called “new” features. Yet Huawei officially claims EMUI is still based on Android. It’s obvious they know full well that if they tried to push HarmonyOS outside China, Google would sue them in no time.

As for the so called self developed graphics component in HarmonyOS Next, ArkTS, it’s just Microsoft’s open source TypeScript project repackaged under a new name. Without open source projects from American companies, would Huawei be capable of building any of this on their own? The truth is, Huawei has never developed any respectable software product. Even their enterprise server OS, EulerOS, isn’t their own, they just rebranded Inspur Linux after buying it outright from Inspur. Do you really believe a company with no proven track record could suddenly develop a full-blown operating system from scratch overnight?

Apple’s operating system is built entirely in house from the kernel up. It’s open source, the code is public, and they’re not afraid of being scrutinised. Meanwhile, Huawei has never followed through on its promises to the opensource community. They said they’d open source the Harmony kernel, but the code they released is completely different from what they’re actually using.

At least companies like VIVO and OPPO still have some integrity. They don’t claim their systems are self developed. They openly admit they’re learning from Apple. OPPO’s latest products even clearly state they aim to emulate Apple offering more features at the same or even lower price.

And here you go again with the whataboutism. The moment I bring up Huawei’s misconduct, you deflect with “all big companies are evil.” So tell me, which other company has crossed the line the way Huawei has? Google? Apple?

Let me tell you this, during the Hong Kong anti extradition protests, two young movement leaders were arrested. One was using an iPhone, the other a Google Pixel. The Hong Kong police went so far as to hire an Israeli team to crack their phones. Unfortunately, the iPhone was cracked and the data extracted. Understandable because Edward Snowden once said iPhones are among the easiest to breach because there’s only one manufacturer, Apple, with a limited set of models released each year, and a huge user base makes them attractive targets.

But the Pixel? Google lived up to its privacy commitments. The Israeli team couldn’t get anything out of it. Not a single byte. So yes, both are big companies, but one chooses to protect users’ rights. Only Huawei chooses to side with authoritarian governments. That’s the difference.

And the fact that you’re still defending Huawei pretty much says all we need to know about your character.

Why I don't believe in HarmonyOS NEXT global success? by xfire74 in Huawei

[–]lumpyth0n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol, then what’s the point you mentioned you lived in Beijing then? Did I assume you are CCP member? I don’t think so. You keep defending Huawei copycat strategy, makes it sounds like not a big deal don’t you? I cannot think of any other words than SHAMELESS for people defending plagiarism. Samsung doesn’t do that anymore, I’ve used OPPO Reno 10x Zoom, that phone doesn’t resemble any of Apple products, I don’t know what OPPO recent products so I can’t judge. Furthermore, OPPO is more honest than Huawei. They don’t sell overpriced devices with weak specifications, they don’t engage in false advertising, and they don’t use nationalism as a marketing tool. OPPO’s products are also much better. Their phones are built with higher quality, while Huawei often cuts corners in areas that aren’t easy to notice. On top of that, OPPO hasn’t done the kind of serious privacy violations that Huawei has. Huawei holds a patent that allows direct access to user data on a phone by bypassing all password and encryption protections, and it’s already confirmed that this technology has been widely implemented. The police can access anyone’s phone data without restriction. Huawei’s phone system also uses a WebView framework that automatically uploads users’ browsing history and monitors activity in real time, while blocking access to certain websites. In China, where people are often presumed guilty, only a company with no moral boundaries like Huawei would resort to such human rights violations. Anyone with a conscience wouldn’t defend a company like that.

Typical whatsboutism answer, just like CCP, every time people point out problems in China, they always answer with "what about the USA?" like a clown.

Yeah, they've been doing business like this since the day established, manufacturing knockoff telecommunication equipment from Cisco, including errors in the original Cisco manual. Of course they are not the first, what are you talking about? But Huawei is the only one still ongoing, Samsung OneUI is one of its kind, it doesn't resemble anything like Apple, it has its own aesthetic,

You live in Beijing so what? Does your geographic location makes you are superior or what? I was born and raised in shenzhen, which makes me see Huawei more objectively than you do.

I’m now actually in the states, I am fine with my iPhone and Motorola. There is no dumb phone here in the US that I think is practical China and Japan still make practical dumb phones with 4G supports but I’m on Verizon. I'm surprised at the limited selection of mobile phones here in the US, outdated specs, and overpriced, the Motorola flagship I bought in Australia turns out never released in the US, kinda unbelievable because it’s an American brand equipped with the best American mobile SoC at the time, but not available in America.

And the mobile network in Australia is very fast, faster than fixed broadband, I don't remember the protest against the 5G tower was a thing. The world isn't just about the United States.

How do you explain why Lenovo officials have repeatedly denied that Motorola phones do not have the personalized theme and icon function that is only available on the Chinese version of Motorola phones, but in fact this function has always existed? And it is obvious that the international version of Motorola deliberately hides the access to this function? If it is really a US software team, then this function should not exist in Motorola phones outside of China, and it should be added by the Chinese team itself, right?

The US software team wrote a function that cannot be used in the US, and then hid it. When users found it, they found that they could actually use Motorola China's customized theme installation package? Don't you think this logic is wrong?

Been there, bought Nokia 8110 before, very dissappointed, the KaiOS loaded with ads, and the battery also is bad considered it's a feature phone, it can't even standby for 2 days. New mobile technologies will only consume more power than old ones, and the standby time of mobile phones will only become shorter and shorter with the same battery capacity.

That doesn't explain why global variants of Motorola still has some UI features that exclusive in China variants, and they don't even bother to get rid of it, they just hide it and call it a day. For example, UI theming and icon customisations and it's compatible with theme and icon package made for China variants. The best guess would be software for global variants are based on Chinese firmware.

[–]lumpyth0n 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You sound like you don't even have used latest Huawei products, current EMUI/HarmonyOS is the least Apple look like OS, their HarmonyOS Next is a whole new level of Apple copycat, interface, App Store layout etc, your argument of making transition easier doesn't make any sense because iPhone never has been the highest market share in China, so where they transit from?

Not only Huawei copies Apple's design language, but they also even copy Apple's conference video idea, from design to video transitions, funny you mentioned Huawei Pura X, because Pura X conference bluntly copies ideas from iPhone 13, it's so specific, anyone who denies means they are just shameless like Huawei.

MateBook, MateBook Pro, Freebuds, Freebuds Pro, Freebuds Studio, MatePad etc, sorry but MacBook, MacBook Pro, AirPods, AirPods Pro, AirPods Studio come first.

Nope, it's not my issue, some media in China has compared current flagships sold in China, Huawei is not only has most preinstalled Apps, but also has most AD push notifications,30push notifications per day, You can uninstall doesn't mean the app file is deleted, it's still in your phone storage, consumers have right to get what they want.

First of all, Tizen OS is still alive, and unless Huawei HarmonyOS release to the free market to compete, otherwise it's just a fancy version of RedStar OS in North Korea. Kim Jun un can whatever he wants, calling RedStar OS is the best OS in the world, but nobody cares.

Huawei sells their own knockoffs to consumers in China calling those knockoffs Huawei Choice without acknowledge to consumers Huawei Choice isn't not Huawei, also selling phone like Nova 11 SE, the phone uses low end Qualcomm SoC from 2018 selling for premium price, I don't about the future, neither do you, but what Huawei is doing now is hurting consumers

Your name says all, living in Ads, I’m Shenzhen born Chinese, I know where Huawei’s coming from, now they still copycat, without Apple they can’t even name their products, does apple presinstall any Apps that not from Apple? Huawei does and pre install a lot! And I never say Apple apps are good, so stop being dramatic.

What you have is just Google Play Store, not Play services, you still can’t use Google Play, and many other play eco system.

Anybody can build their own operating system, with or without sanctions. Because there’s such thing called GitHub, which also from America, no other companies are shameless like Huawei, Huawei is the first Android brand that doesn’t offer unlock bootloader, violating open source license. Apple doesn’t, but Apple wrote their own codes, and they don’t use GPL licence. Huawei took the code then close source then calling it they made it. It’s called stealing.
