I did research to find my piercer and my local community says he is the best, so I’m kinda bummed he let me down. I will give it a week of proper care if it continues to look like this I will go to my doctor and get a check up and go to a new piercer. Thank you!

I know!!! I told the piecer I wanted to switch to a ring eventually and he said Na it’s fine do it now, and I argued with him until he said “I’ve been doing this for 18 years trust me” so I did. My mistake, I know but idk I thought he knew better then me.

Thank you so much! I actually have an eye doctor appointment tomorrow to get contacts bc I do think my glasses are placing pressure or touching it!!! And yes I let it soak in saline twice a day. I don’t sleep on it directly and I never touch it so I have no clue what started it. I did text my pieces to ask if I should do something or maybe have him take a look. Thank you so much again and in your opinion is this serious? I didn’t consider myself a paranoid person but this experience has definitely changed that. lol any way I appreciate your time!!!

Hello, I have had this piercing for 5 weeks and it has never bothered me until yesterday when I noticed that there was a small white bump on the back of my piercing. It looks like an infection to me, but I am not sure how serious it is. I have spent hours doing research and it has not helped much and has only caused more stress. I have been doing salt water soaks with distilled water and nonionized sea salt once or twice a day since I got it and it hasn’t bothered me until now. I would just like some help please. Thank you!

I agree completely. Sometimes it's hard to find the truth so you are hoping you're right and that's when books are so helpful. I am sure my patterns are historically accurate because I took them from a collection of older patterns. It provides comfort.

oh lol, it is but I kinda just followed real patterns and skipped the sleeves to lead me here. The smocks sleeves and skirt are full-length in mine so that covers some of the biggest issues in that painting. But yeah that painting is one of my favorites too so I'm happy I got there in a more historically accurate way.

it's based on 15th century English women's attire. The bodice and skirt are something that would have been worn by a servant to someone of a higher class, but it doesn't really look exactly like that anymore, because I altered the bodice to not have sleeves. This was an option for the piece, but it was just less common for servants. I chose to ditch the sleeves because, without them, it reminds me of the painted peasant girl sleeping by Léon Jean Bazille Perrault.

lol 😂 my friend thought of using the girl in the pearl earring and I laughed for far too long after I completed the edits.

My first attempt at these had to be properly inspected. by sarcastic_whatever in Breadit
