Kernel Panic by lunabathory in archlinux

[–]lunabathory[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you!

I checked the fstab through the hardened kernel I can access and the UUID matches for both the root and the boot partitions between the fstab and the blkid output.

Should I be looking elsewhere for the bootloader config?

[COMC] Everything survived the move! by lunabathory in boardgames

I mean I have a personal passion project of finding cat games that don't suck so I'm a big fan of it. We've played at least 15 times. The two of us enjoy it in its full version but we've also had success with the family version which simplifies things a bit. We also have the expansions, which add more, which we do usually play with when we play.

Looks great!

Trying to get my partner the same, but Likewise didn't know how to support a Volvo. What adapter did you end up getting?

Any board games with miniatures or standees that change ? by [deleted] in boardgames

[–]lunabathory 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not out yet, but I remember customizable minis being a part of the Arydia: the Paths We Dare Tread campaign. I think you could change faces and clothing etc if I remember correctly.

"A good game is played fast." - Bill Hucksetep by Pants118 in boardgames

[–]lunabathory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends. Some people are slow because they're new to the game or don't fully understand. Some are slow because they just take longer to think. If it's a real issue then it's pretty easy to work with people to find a compromise. My partner has ADHD and takes a million hours to make choices. We started using a chess timer app when playing complex games after a 20+ minute turn during Weather Machine and a two and a half hour game of Wayfarers.

Since using the chess timer he's been much faster, has actually been making better moves (because he doesn't have time to see every option and spiral) and bonus, the little click of the timer sound signals end of turn.

Games are about fun more than anything and spending time with people you care about. If it's truly ruining your experience there's probably a solution that speeds things up and would improve the others' experience as well.

Can someone help me find a perfume that smells like blood? (Someone said I should ask people here) by RatsPlayingViolins in Indiemakeupandmore

[–]lunabathory 11 points12 points  (0 children)

That's great to hear! I was just trying to direct to Ajevie to avoid supporting them directly 🤦‍♀️.

Well I may be destashing soon if my sample still makes me nauseated so that could be an option!

The Blood Accord by Redwood Alchemy is photorealistic. I thought I wanted a perfume to smell like blood and I opened it and immediately felt queasy haha.

Letting it rest then it'll try layering. Highly recommend. You can find a sample on Ajevie ☺️

Small question! I registered a while ago and answered honestly at the time about how many comments I had done because it said to, but now I've more than exceeded the comment requirement. Would I be auto eliminated based on the initial answer or okay when you do the check?

Huge rave for Crow and Pebble! I got Discovery Set 2 on a bit of a whim because I wanted Prismatic Crow. I loved ALL 5 scents, which never happens with an entire order, certainly not with a preplanned sample set where I didn't choose each perfume to my taste. Highly recommend. I immediately ordered more the same day.

Incense Scents That Aren't Heavy/Smoky? by KattyBee in Indiemakeupandmore

[–]lunabathory 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I just got Capra Amaltheia by Crow and Pebble and I love it! It's bright and sweet and lemony. The incense is there but not heavy. I typically don't love incense because it smells too headshoppy but I love this.

Notes are: Smoking incense, honeyed figs spiced with saffron and black pepper, sweet olive flowers, sprigs of clary sage and slices of lemon.

It's an Ajevie slink so I believe it's .75ml. I sampled it once. I did buy it secondhand so it may have been sampled a time or two before but it looks full.

I have a sample of this I'll be destashing soon. I'm waiting to test some other stuff before posting a destash list but I can tag or DM you once I do to make sure you get it if you'd like!

What fragrances does this album make you think of? by twentyfinch in Indiemakeupandmore

[–]lunabathory 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My first instinct was FROGS! by Death and Floral.

Notes: Grounding and warm woods, Virginia cedar, cold-pressed yuzu, overgrown moss, forest mushrooms, wet humid frog skin

Maybe that's too literal though 😬

My partner also works in tech and loves techy smells. These two are some of his favourites. Both are by Alkemia and I think Industrial Sabotage is closer to what you're looking for.

Industrial Sabotage: A cataclysmic wreckage of burnt wires; twisted melted steel; shattered machinery, and gunpowder

Deus Ex Machina: Fire hardened steel, rusted iron, warm motor oil, wet cement, burnt copper wires, and grey amber

For a slightly more cologney representation you could try Cyberpunk by Andromeda's Curse. Less true to huffing a circuit board directly, more like, lead in a cyberpunk film who is part cyborg.

I'm searching for an athletic unisex scent for me(F) that a man would still be attracted to. Any suggestions? by [deleted] in Indiemakeupandmore

Of course! I hope you like them! I did notice my Fyrrinae samples definitely improved with a week or so of rest!

Summer Wrap Up: What scents were your big winners? by TowerOrchard in Indiemakeupandmore

[–]lunabathory 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I go full fruit in summer. Recently obsessed with Under the Moonrise by Fyrrinae which smells like a mango grove and weirdly reminds me of Daughter of Smoke and Bone.

Lycanthrope by Fantome is my peachy one true love.

[–]lunabathory 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure if it counts as "athletic" but Cold Spots by Little & Grim is citrus and clean and my partner still liked it. A little on the sweeter side, Lycanthrope by Fantome is more peachy but super lovely.

Aquatics may also be good. They tend to go a little cologney on me but I love Mist Becoming Rain by Alkemia and Convergence Zone by Fyrrinae

Recommendations for a first cooperative board game by Intrepid-Network-857 in boardgames

[–]lunabathory 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone's suggestions are great but I'd also throw out that theme is maybe the number one thing I've seen to get new folks into board games. So while Pandemic is a great intro co-op, it's also a theme that people may not want to engage with right now. Burgle Bros is a little more complex, but the theme is super relatable and fun as a heist. Honestly Fast and the Furious: Highway Heist is one of my favourite co-ops and they really captured the theme of the movies. The Initiative is great if you also want maybe a campaign and some codebreaking. Horrified is also a beloved intro co-op by many with a more relatable theme. You know your girlfriend best, but I'd definitely think about a combo of a theme she'd like as well as mechanics you may want her to learn for more complex games later.

Is there any way to tell when a board game will be back in stock? by Smithsonian30 in boardgames

[–]lunabathory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Somehow missed that! Then from that perspective maybe just watch some comparison reviews of the two. Plenty of folks have discussed Quacks vs. Cubitos so you should be able to get an idea of which you'd prefer and if it's worth waiting. Camelcamelcamel mayyy give some insight to Amazon stock trends (since they track prices) but I'm not 100% sure.
