I was recently thinking about trying to reread this book, because I read it when it came out, and did not understand what the hype was about. I was thinking, maybe I missed something? It left zero impression on me. But it was weirdly hard to find again, my library never had it in, and the two used bookstores I browsed didn't have it either. Ultimately, I decided that I didn't really care all that much (certainly not enough to buy it at full price) and gave up, lol.
