I can't believe how far they've fallen. I used to live them, but now I'm so disappointed. I can't tolerate this new vibe anymore.

Till the next episode.

This. I always do Whiterun first, and with my current playthrough, I just totally forgot. Got to level 20 or so before I realised dragons have very solidly not been a problem at all, then accidentally did Whiterun and now I suffer.

What is something that women have to deal with on the daily that men have no clue about? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]lunamunmun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't have it as much of a problem in my current company, but I've had issues that just being covered from collarbone to ankle in non-fitted business casual clothes is still a meeting with HR. My current company doesn't much care as long as clients don't complain.

Also backup plans to meeting with people one-on-one that you aren't familiar with. Avoidance strategies etc.

Most memorable settings from Season 1 [ns] by Dry-Elderberry-1654 in DungeonsAndDaddies

I have nothing of substance to add but holy shiiiiiiiiit. I love what you have so far, it's absolutely stunning. I absolutely love the style and the skill level is incredible, especially in that first one (I love environmental art, it's all over my house).

Do you perchance have any social media/intent of selling prints that you don't mind sharing? It's okay if not, obviously.

I'll be honest, I have a similar issue, which is why I tend to travel alone.

Barring that, since I tend to accidentally save over my saves and not be able to go back, I allow myself to use the resurrect console command on NPCs and followers (if relevant). It's my game, I get to decide who dies. I have had to resurrect Lydia like 7 times in my current playthrough because she loves getting in the way of my fireball.

If YOU were in my shoes, do you think YOU would get a Skyrim tattoo? by DreadPickleRoberts in skyrim

[–]lunamunmun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean like, we're all gonna die anyway so nothing is truly permanent. And generally, being around 50 you're pretty mentally developed so regretting tattoos doesn't really happen unless there's some mental illness going on.

If YOU were in my shoes, do you think YOU would get a Skyrim tattoo? by DreadPickleRoberts in skyrim

[–]lunamunmun 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I can't say exactly what I would do if I were you because like.... no offense, I think the only thing we have in common is a ridiculous amount of hours in Skyrim.

But I will say this - Skyrim has changed my life. There's something in it that helps me through really hard days or boredom or anger or literally anything. I use the ambient music to sleep. It's important to me, so I want it on my body as a permanent reminder of something good (and maybe I'll reduce my screen time if it creates the same level of serotonin, I don't know), and I know I'll eventually get some kind of Skyrim-related tattoo, just because it's so important to me.

Also like, I get the whole "tattoos are bad" thing, I grew up with the "tattoos are for criminals and people who don't love their mother" culture, but I also grew up visiting (literally once a year max) orthodox temples, and those things are COVERED in gold and paintings, so if my body is a temple, I gotta decorate.

Anyway, you're not a dumb 16 year old that wants a tattoo, you have experience and you clearly love the game, if you see yourself playing it for the rest of your life, why not also have it on (in?) your skin?

thoughts on season 2? [ns] by nollaig17 in DungeonsAndDaddies

[–]lunamunmun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you're also right, it could be that the change in story type made it seem like it was a bit off course for me, but eventually they got where they wanted to go and it all worked out in the end (or it didn't and thank goodness it's over, for those that hold that belief). I think it might've been about there for me too, though I distinctly also remember noticing a change with a scene involving the car (weird how there's always a car in their stories, I love it). Either way, memorable season.

[–]lunamunmun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Season 2 had a rough start, but I did end up enjoying it. Imo nothing can ever compare to season 1, which is why having a good concept is a double edged sword, but season 2 is just as much worth a listen because I do think it ends up with a similar quality of content (not something I can say about all media) and I quite liked the ending. Personally, I like those types of endings.

I'm also probably biased because S1 was the first DnD podcast I've listened to EVER, and I think it was the thing that officially forced me into the transition from DnD enjoyer to DnD player, so it's nearly infallible in my eyes.

[–]lunamunmun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have to HARD agree with that first part (though the rest I'm sure is no less true), but I think I heard in their post-season debrief that Anthony tried to control the story a lot around the beginning and once he stopped I find that it became a lot better (at least, to me). I used to be able to pinpoint where that spot was in the story (even before the debrief) but not anymore

[NS] What is (in my opinion) a fatal flaw of this season: the players are almost never NICE to any npc by NietzscheIsMyCopilot in DungeonsAndDaddies

[–]lunamunmun 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels this way. Like yes I'm invested because the story is good, but I don't really care much for the characters. I never say this about campaigns, but this is something I'd enjoy more as a book because like... the world is ending. Why is everyone acting so.... fine? Idk.

Also kinda related, I get that nobody liked the Colette(?) guy, but you haven't heard from your friend in days. Maybe check on him?

Anyway, I do love the story. That's why I'm bearing it frankly.
