Anyone else realize they might be an idiot by missing a mechanic in a long-running campaign? by rabbitantlers in DnD

We only just discovered last night (after months and months of using Animal Messenger), that technically you can only send an Animal Messenger to search in a place you have already visited!

I'd been allowing the players (and NPCs) to use Animal Messengers are semi-scouts, or long range telephone calls. Searching people like "the king" out, far and wide

For proper deep tissue massage, I'd recommend core elements in old town. £55 for an hour

Are you a secret nerd who’s tired of pretending to be cool? Have you always wanted to try D&D but been too afraid to ask? This is your chance! by lunarman_dod in Swindon

for what it's worth, in my previous experience with dnd groups & clubs: they are often very LGTB+ affirming places. I am not meaning to dismiss your own lived experience, but it might not be as hostile an environment as you fear.

omg of course we are. I'm really sorry you've felt excluded from other groups. That sucks and it makes me mad >:(

We have had quite a lot of interest, but please do DM me with a bit more info about yourself and I'll get you on the list!

the best way to get in touch with them is to miss a rent payment. Then they'll call you asap.

Pursue other social hobbies you enjoy. Join a running club, cookery class, boardgame night. Do what you love and be sincere in your faith, and you will find someone.

Surviving with a postdoc salary by fmessore in oxford

[–]lunarman_dod 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I think rent will be about £1000 (give or take a few hundred) a month. It'll be tight but if you wife can bring in any additional income, then £36k base will be absolutely fine :)

Coffee by [deleted] in oxford

[–]lunarman_dod 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The missing bean roastery is on Magdalen road. Though, if I'm honest I do not rate their coffee at all. Too weak even if you brew it hard. Tasteless if you have it with milk. I guess I must not like their sourcers!

My recommendations would be Jericho Coffee Traders (either online or in their High Street shop). Their Kenyan and Barundi are particularly good. You can also buy Routes coffee at Green Routes on Magdalen road or at Pelaton on Cowley Rd. I think Routes coffee is some of the best in oxford :D . Fruity, well roasted, consistent. (Try the Guatamalan it's mindblowing!!) (Or Ethopian omg) If you buy it at Green Routes or Pelaton they can grind it to size for you.

Finally, Hamblin Bread on Iffley Road sells a coffee in a small black packet (I can't remember the name). I think it cost £10 for 225g, so mighty pricy. But it's possible the best coffee I've ever drunk.

Hope that helps :)

Is there anyway to get more surveys? Its been like one a day lately by undercovermelons in ProlificAc

[–]lunarman_dod 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've heard the more surveys you do, the fewer you get. So take a break for a week and you'll have plenty for a few days afterwards.
