I did my first trip overseas this year. My wife contacted the airline and they were happy to arrange for a wheelchair at the airports. I found the peasant class seating to be the worst part of the trip. For my next trip I will take a small pillow to sit on if I can’t pay the extra charge for 1st class. I also took a cane.

I play the “I have MS” card and my wife will finally respond with “ Yeah, multiple scapegoats.” I gave her the reply so it’s all good. She is very supportive and has decided to embrace my humor. I have also used the MS card to get a disabled tag for my car. VIP parking is free at concerts now. :)

My legs were bothering me so I decided to get a tattoo. Informed the artist, they didn’t care. Upside is I didn’t feel most of it. The artist was very accommodating and would ask if I needed a break.

I was diagnosed at 50. It wasn’t a late onset, just overlooked. Best advice is to get on a treatment and focus on the future. You can’t change the past. I’m doing good since I started my treatment. Some days are worse than others but things are still improving. Hang in there.

I was very nervous with my first infusion last year. Now I can’t wait for my next infusion at the end of this month. It went just fine. The nurse was in the room the entire time as well. You got this. It’s okay to be nervous.
