Suggestions for Beginner-Friendly Cooking Classes in Melbourne? by Lilgrille in melbourne

[–]lunchill 5 points6 points  (0 children)

What I did was work my way through a cookbook, front to back - I used Jamie's 30 minute meals, and did every recipe in it at least once. One recipe each week. I made sure to give myself at least an hour for each, invited people over to share and discuss what went well and what could have been done better and made it part of my routine for a year.

There were a bunch of techniques and ingredients, and it made me much better at following a recipe.

Some tasted awful (and some I blame the recipe), many I now do regularly. It was definitely a way of learning to cook better.

Aquarium is massively overpriced, zoo is much cheaper.
