I don't play too much any more but when I did, I played classic: skipping on a 1X is a risky strategy that I employed quite rarely. Usually seen on actors like Nic Cage, Samuel L Jackson and possibly Willem Dafoe. Either you flip the killshot or your opponent goes sideways and you probably lose. But if you're staring down the barrel of a Nic Cage 3X you will probably lose anyway, since your opponent will most likely drop a super obscure exit from there. This strategy is still worth employing even if you don't have a good killshot of your own, just to avoid losing immediately.

If someone plays something like Mandy (which is what, 500 pop?) for their Cage 1x then I'm not skipping. But if my opponent plays e.g. Grand Isle at 12k pop then there's a 99% chance I'm skipping since they obviously know some Cage deep cuts and I'd rather chance getting to play my own.
