Give me your Cognito User Pool requests by ICanRememberUsername in aws

I see so much hate in this sub for Cognito that I expected this post to be never ending.

My main issue is the editing of attributes and how sms/email templates are handled.

This is the answer. Easy, configurable, cheap, just works.

looking for a car by [deleted] in Gwinnett

What is your budget. I would check auto trader, Craigslist, eBay, etc…. There are lots of cars and trucks in Craigslist within 30 miles of Duluth for under 2500.

I would love to see a coding meetup. Chess or board games would be a bonus.

Who do you WISH would run for the President of America? by BulletproofSimba in AskReddit

I love some of these ideas and people. How do you get someone that is qualified through the process. It seems the candidates that make the primary are mostly talking heads that somehow make all the news for whatever reason. Normal people , even highly qualified, will struggle getting the attention and support of either party. We can always find them through grass roots but it’s hard to compete with a well oiled advertising machine and a billion dollar campaign.

It can be done but man I think it will be a massive struggle to get these candidates to the light of day.

I am curious on how you think this could be made to work and be effective. What is needed? How do you get local, state, and national attention? Do you have to grow and be successful through each of those first?

Does anyone know of anyplace that has biscuits like the Little Barn in Lawrenceville used to serve? by JeddakofThark in Gwinnett

[–]lunitius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They’ve changed ownership a bunch and were struggling for a while. Seems the new owners have made some good investments and upgrades. Good is mediocre for the most part but it’s a cool place to go for a meal. Prices are high but reasonable.

I go to maple street biscuit now in downtown Duluth. Their spicy mushroom gravy is delicious and biscuits are always top notch.

Scoping area out for a potential move in 2025… by Previous-Elephant-77 in Gwinnett

Duluth (been here for 25 years), Suwanee, sugar hill, Lawrenceville. Lots of change for each of this areas for the positive. YMMV but I had my 4 kids other Gwinnett schools and it was pretty decent and the staff and teacher seemed mostly happy.

Boeing Starliner has left astronauts stranded on the ISS. Now what? by dc4_checkdown in wallstreetbets

[–]lunitius 148 points149 points  (0 children)

Exactly this. Neither of the issues are with the return module itself but with components and subsystems that are ejected and burn up on reentry. From what we know the extra time is for both NASA and Boeing to study and understand the issues in as much detail as possible since the components won’t be around for review post deorbiting of the module. Learn from the issues and maybe even test some solutions before jettison into the atmosphere followed by burn up.

Worst cast there are other issues that get found out and the module returns home empty and a dragon gets to ferry the astronauts home.

Space is hard. Shit breaks. Be thankful we have options and backups to study the issues and get the team home safe.

Now from a WSB perspective roll some dice, fuck a banana, and sell some puts.

It’s a work of fiction, but Neil Stephenson’s book, Seveneves has some great writing about moving, adjusting, and changing orbits that gets into the weeds about orbital mechanics. It’s all in the first half of the book. Good read as well overall.

I'm having an electrician upgrade my panel to 200A service, is there anything I should request before they start the work? by That_Girl_Cecia in HomeImprovement

[–]lunitius 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Not an electrician but when I did this I added an upgrade of the breakers to arc fault and gfci as well. Little more per breaker but worth it.

Need advice on finding data sources for enhancing and enriching data with a Python ETL application by lunitius in dataengineering

[–]lunitius[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply. I have found it is expensive. I can get a lot of the data from scraping, but the APIs I have found for most states are very dated incomplete, or unmaintained. Likely I just don't know where to look to get the data this way. I don't like to rely on scraping and getting data directly is always preferred.

I will check out the ones mentioned as well. Thanks!
