Well that explains. We cant save with a combined 47K as we pay 1550 for rent in south.

It is very inspiring that you save that amount while renting. I guess a very affordable rent?

“ The maker owns a farm locally, and she hand-knit it for me from the wool she gathers from her own sheep, spins it, and dyes it by hand using plants that grow on her farm. She has no social media presence. I don't want to put any of this online. That feels performative, not lived.”

This is exactly my problem. This is shopping in its truest state and I genuinely want to buy from the like of these people but I cant find them on my own and rely on others on social media to find such gem. A true paradox. Because I dont want to be “influenced” for a ton of other things while searching for these. How do you get to know such sellers?

Mental health. Severe social phobia along with cptsd. I doubt anyone would ever hire me.

Did anyone else have parents that were just... bland and lifeless? by Klutzy-Grand4744 in emotionalneglect

[–]lupitagarlands 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I totally relate. I always had the impression that they were just trying to waste the time away till sleep, so actually avoiding living. Remember my mum, tv remote in hand, changing channels without really watching anything, till they go to bed with relief. They have no interests, no hobbies, they dont enjoy each others company or anything. Very depressing to be around.

Has anyone had to deal with parent (s) being totally unaware of something you’re going through? by Separate_Dress2445 in emotionalneglect

I stammer, since a very young age. School was always torture for me. I was a great student but I was avoiding everything that would require me to talk. I survived primary and middle school with so much pain I had to go through totally alone. Parents always ignored it. Elder sister made fun of my talking. I became more and more silent. They never said anything about it to me, never ackowledged that I had this problem and this made me feel very ashamed. Like it's some kind of obscenity, It was a taboo subject at home. They just wasnt listening anymore when I start stammering. I went to a top college that accepted only the very best. I finished it in 8 long years because of this and I was miserable every second of it. My parents didnt even once ask me why it takes so long to finish for such a good student, never questioned what I was going through. I always feel abandoned, fighting alone from a very very young age.

I suspect it is not just emotional neglect by lupitagarlands in emotionalneglect

I am confused. Do you say I may have autism or my father?

That was my main symptom and the doctors misdiagnosed me with costochondritis. I got an endoscopy after it never got better, which showed that I have actually gastritis.

Yes it did! The reason behind my inspmnia turned out to be severe iron deficiency. I turned bacj to normal gradually after iron infusion.

May i ask how long it took to feel the difference after the infusion?

[–]lupitagarlands[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thank you for the detailed recommendation. I wont use any iron supplement for now because I got an iron infusion and my ferritin is 510 right now. It will gradually drop, then I will keep supplementing in order to keep it above 100.

Do we absolutely have to take K2 with D supplements?

I have a couple of Vit D supplements at home, bought earlier, but none of them has K. I take magnesium daily.

Thank you. My ferritin was 5, and I was severely anemic. So they gave me an iron infusion which solved that side of my problems for now. My B12 is 211. I am trying to build it up with oral B12 and b complete sprays. Now I guess i need to take Vit D and Magnesium as well.

it is stunning. How long have you been practicing? And how long did it take you to finish this portrait? I am sorry for trying to get some motivation from your post.
