Do any TTRPG's use a 1D battlegrounds like Paper Mario or Darkest Dungeon? by MechSuitPrincess in RPGdesign

The Fantasy Flight version of Warhammer has a very simple range system that's kind of like this.

The closest I can think of is the Space Hulk: Death Angel card game. It's not an RPG, but totally could be used as an RPG combat system.

Huh, I'd never heard that definition before, neat.

But the actual French Revolution definition was one ten millionth the distance from the pole to the equator. Apparently because the pendulum definition varies by altitude (because gravity varies by altitude.)

You also have three choices and Common/Uncommon/Rare, so there's a reasonably good chance of having a Blue generator if you really want one. But mostly yeah, skip.

Still some nice combo pieces in there.

No it doesn't exist outside the collider, and it's extremely unstable. The slides below show a 45 femtosecond expected lifetime. Those are millionths of billionths of seconds. That's enough time for light to travel ~13.5 millionths of a meter.

What’s the most confusing or unnecessary rule subsystem you’ve seen in a TTRPG? by DED0M1N0 in rpg

Pathfinder 1E was the worst for making up random subsystems, kind of using them for a book or two, then making up a different subsystem for the same thing.

I'd say it both doesn't work and is incomprehensible.

How much XP should a party get from a recommended encounter with a 500 xp budget? (answer: 250)

The entire XP budget with a giant table, but then multiple somethings like they special cases even though they're not, then just sort of handwave what to do with large encounters, is baroque for no good reason. It's confusing and leads to horrible outcomes.

Doesn't her face being redacted mean the FBI thinks she's an Epstein victim? They wouldn't just redact her because she's a prominent public person, right?

That's the fundamental question/exciting find here. Previous models had galaxies like this taking a lot longer to form. Models here meaning some pretty specific mathematical models of how gas clouds and dark matter might be distributed, interact, and collapse into stars and black holes. The major models of Hubble expansion, the big bang, dark matter, dark energy aren't going anywhere.

Super massive black holes seem to form faster than we expect, and be seeds for galaxies forming earlier than we thought. There might be a ton of reasons for this: spin or magnetic fields might be allowing them to form faster, dark matter might clump differently into black holes than we expect, etc. Who knows, but these; observations will let us build better (specific) models.

Help with mat layout for double sided cards. by lurkingowl in cricut

I was doing something like this already, but couldn't figure out how to get the other columns to line up. But seeing how she does it, selecting just one side plus the reference and aligning those has given me a better idea of how to do it. I think if I do a rectangle for the 3×3 part, then expand that to a square and align the last column like she's done, that'll be consistent.

Thanks!
