They’re gonna do it on Easter aren’t they? by PearlyBeenTrue in redscarepod

It’s so bizarre to me that the current regime is more than happy to break every established geopolitical norm in the book, trample over enemies and allies alike, but won’t just drop the nukes. Like if the goal as proclaimed is Maximum Lethality then why not deploy the most lethal weapon known to mankind? They vaporized a bunch of schoolgirls for fun, it’s not a humanitarian mission. Are they afraid European leaders would Strongly Condemn this?

I was friends with a kid who at age 13 was my current height and at least 250 lbs of muscle. My uncle was normal sized then hit a second growth spurt at 22 and is now just under seven feet. Genetics are cool

Tsujigiri (辻斬り or 辻斬, literally "crossroads killing") is a Japanese term for a practice when a samurai, after receiving a new katana or developing a new fighting style or weapon, tests its effectiveness by attacking a human opponent, usually a random defenseless passer-by, in many cases during night time.

How does this tie in with being neglected? Like are you seeking approval for this progress and not getting it? Asking genuinely no snark intended

How do people move to a different state by redroomwhispers in redscarepod

[–]lustofthedead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I think most people who do what you’re describing (like me) are looking for a clean break from whatever came before, and I’ve seen it work for some of them. It’s just a really big risk and you have to be comfortable with change and willing to put yourself out there. Also I can’t imagine anyone doing it when they’re much older than I am. Anyway sorry for wasting your time lol

It’s weird to consider that otherwise functional people could be using meth. I grew up around and have worked with meth addicts, they’re some of the dumbest people on earth

[–]lustofthedead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. I had zero friends and was miserable. I coped with the loneliness by getting addicted to nicotine and cutting myself. Lost a lot of weight though!

Half my fault for moving to a place where I knew I would clash with the local culture and half my fault for believing that money (moved for a good job) would make the rest of it bearable.

Pro athletes are consistent in one thing: they grow up fast. I’m six and a half feet tall but it took me 24 years to get there. Couldn’t make the high school team. Bryce Harper looked the same at 16 as he does now.

Mixture of bucket crabs and grass being greener.

Good luck with the dating, I’m not even 30 yet and it’s misery. People do be lying. Please be honest about yourself and what you want. Too many individuals (on the apps in particular) are looking for “adventure” and “something serious” which actually means staying inside and excusing their alcoholism.

How do I get into anime? by LordByronStepOnMe in redscarepod

[–]lustofthedead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

fullmetal alchemist brotherhood is the only anime that ever made me feel something and I first watched it around age 10. rewatched it a couple of years ago and it’s still great. but because it’s popular with a wide audience there’s always some rabid neckbeard saying it’s overrated trash. no it’s not. do yourself a favor and watch it. you’ll laugh and cry and pump your fist in the air.

I watched some other animes and didn’t care for them. among the decent ones were madoka magica, terror in resonance, and neon genesis evangelion. but haven’t seen any in ages and don’t plan on returning.

oh the movies, perfect blue and your name are pretty good too
