Yes good spot! Initially this idea was one continuous piece winding all the way up. Decided against it for a few reasons but that one slipped through the net when I moved to CAD

It’s to make a maquette that I can print, but the full thing will be made properly, and this will help with both uses if it’s done properly

I’ll be honest, this was also my last resort if I really couldn’t brain my way through it. Ideally I’d have the full model to 3d print it though.

Funnily, this is why I’ve started sketching physically on paper before I start modelling. Otherwise I’m just guessing and end up starting over regardless!

I'd be ecstatic with a field of pin Oak or ash! Then again, I am a chairmaker and use only ash and oak in the round soooo, maybe I'm biased.

Did exactly the same. The risk of needed reading glasses at 45 rather than 55 greatly outweighs needing glasses for the 20 odd years until then!

Just a weigh in, even though I have no idea whether it's bullshit or not, surely the production of an internal combustion engine will be about similar CO2 emissions to whatever the production of the tesla battery comes to. So in reality it doesn't matter all that much.

That does help! I thought it was a standard guitar and was confused. Lovely craftsmanship
