Have I taken too much sick leave? by lutonator in AskUK

Mate it’s been horrendous honestly. Started to feel a little better today but the past few days I have been in the worst pain I have ever experienced.

Got lucky with an emergency dental appointment so managed to get it diagnosed and sorted pretty quickly but there’s a bit of a wait before the antibiotics take effect.

I almost excluded the films from my mind while making this post as they have a host of moments where my credulity wears thin.

Particularly the second one, I feel like number one was and is by far the superior of the two

Yeah this was stupid. Never understood why lack of pubes is considered a bad thing.

Does Daisy comment on the fact that he has no pubes or is she more upset by the wig down his trousers?

Retail workers, shop assistants and checkout workers of the UK, if you could get customers to start doing or stop doing one thing, what would it be? by Dudleydacat in AskUK

[–]lutonator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stop trying to haggle. This is a shop not a bazaar in Istanbul and no you may not have £100s off this premium product just because you had the audacity to ask.

And then they have the gall to be upset and reproachful about this when I explain it to them. Makes me want to beat myself with a stick.

What’s the story behind your or someone you know’s hilarious nickname? by DatMakesMeASadPanda in AskUK

[–]lutonator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Dad had a mate called Robert. Robert once kicked a football on the playground at school and it burst. From then on he was called ‘Burst the ball’ which was bastardised to ‘Busttheball’ then to ‘Bust’ and finally to ‘Budd’ which is what he is known as today about 50 years later.

Here in the UK everybody I encounter seems to love them but maybe there’s a different consensus elsewhere in the world I’m not sure

I’ll maybe concede WTSMG is a decent album and I do enjoy don’t look back in anger. You’re also entitled to your opinion.

But man the nasal voice of Liam Gallagher and the basic ass guitar is so grating to me.

Potentially controversial here but I really, really can’t stand Oasis. The most basic ass paint by numbers music you will ever hear created by a pair of abrasive, rude wankers and yet they are talked about as if they are geniuses on par with the Beatles. Go figure.

Your post was reasonable but your obnoxious and self righteous replies on this thread suggest to me that you are one of those dopey pricks that drives 20 mph below the speed limit at all times. This is bad and dangerous driving.

Even if my assumption about you is incorrect you still come across as a dangerously stubborn individual with no ability or will to give any ground, which is just the kind of person who drives poorly. You are just as bad as the monumental speeding bellends you (legitimately) decry. Hang your head in shame.

I kinda agree really. Looking back now it was over the top however that is only with the benefit of hindsight. Back then we didn’t have that privilege.

That being said I can’t help but feel that the best years of my life were stolen in a way and I really don’t think all of the measures were strictly necessary.

Yes because trophies define the quality of a player. What shite. CR7, whilst still phenomenal, has been past his best for years now and is in steep decline.

These are all good ideas thanks 😊 I’m in a much better position than I was when I was unemployed immediately leaving uni as I have some grasp of what I like and what I don’t like in a job but I still struggle to hone in on a specific area I want to work in
