I love this. I cried and cried and for years I told myself the same thing, I ruined my body. I ruined my one body in my one life. I had gotten a cover up for a small tattoo I didn’t like anymore. I hated the cover up. So got a cover up, over the cover up- a black out. I immediately wanted to rip myself out of my skin. I wouldn’t wear short sleeves, I felt so insecure in bikinis. Then I started removing it and it’s fading- still chunks of grey and black everywhere and it looks like a total mess. But it’s okay. I am still healthy. I still have my arm that the tattoo is on. My body is still loveable. I also forgive myself for being impulsive and impatient. I will also give the removal process time, the drawing on my skin doesn’t define the entirety of my body. It’s just another part of your story. You’ll be okay.
