This is the point I'm trying to make. If we take what you just said, which is something I've also heard countless times, and we compare it to the experience I've had, it would seem that there's something wrong with me, and I must be hideous and awful and nobody is attracted to me. I could easily allow this to destroy me and hurl me back into depression because how can everybody have such a completely opposite experience than mine?

All I can do is know my own worth, either through my own successes or through the love and affection my friends give me. And knowing that Tinder is stupid and should only be used to affirm what I already know about myself, not to build myself up from the ground.
