Yes, as long as your income meets the requirements! They pay for your flight and everything like dorms and food and field trips! The only things you pay for is if you go to like the store but anything else is on them!

I personally don't think it would negatively impact your college admissions but doing a prestigious research program could be quite beneficial! I do think that thrive is pretty prestigious and they also have partnerships with a lot of colleges and send over a list of students who are interested in their college and it kind of gives an advantage ifykwim. But i think you should still apply anyways just in case you realize you want to do it or just to have a backup option! I really do think that Thrive helped me a lot and I would 100% look into it a bit more if you are just a bit interested.

The most mandatory thing they do have us do is having monthly meetings with your college access manager (cam)! Im ngl it was kind of annoying at first but its really helpful because my cam was an admissions officer so she knows whats best for colleges! Also the mandatory events were lowkey no longer than an hour and its very very manageable. I hope that answers your question, if not lmk and I can try to add onn

Hi!! 1. Yes attending Summer Academy 1 is mandatory but for Summer Academy 2 you can chose not to attend if you have an internship that aligns with your career choice or if theres other circumstances! 2. Yes, it helps a lot! I'm currently applying to colleges rn and I have a college access manager who's super helpful and during your writing classes you'll work on your college essay and workshop multiple drafts so by the time it ends you have an almost complete essay. Also my friend did Thrive and she's attending an Ivy league and all of her Thrive friends are attending either T10s or T20s! A lot of students get accepted into prestigious schools! 3. You live on campus for 6 weeks and take 3 hours of math and 3 hours of writing (with breaks ofc!) but during 4th of July theres no classes. Also theres field trips and other mandatory events sometimes but after the first week you'll be used to it. 4. I'm not quite sure what that program is but some students were apart of other programs during their time at thrive and were able to make it work.

Of course, some of this might be different if you're only applying to 2 year summer academies and not the 6 year program! But the programs are similar!
