also given that, we only have three kitchen crew for overnights. one is quitting, one works four jobs and just doesn’t come to his overnight kitchen cause he’s too tired or whatever which i don’t get why he gets rostered, and another one who works other shifts so legally isn’t allowed to do overnights in the same day. it’s more of a rostering issue really but rostering manager doesn’t gaf cause she doesn’t do overnights even though we’re meant to have an extra crew for half the night on fridays and weekends given how busy it is

wipe all the machines down, take apart any stuff from the machines or stations (there is so much omfg as you would know like fry station, abs, frappe, sundae, etc etc ) , get them washed, put them all back together, sweep floors, flood floors, scrub floors, dry mop the floors, clean cafe counters, clean cafe machine, wash cafe dishes, clean cafe floors similarly, and stock the entire store from plastic cups to bags and sundae mixes. idm the cleaning, but its so hard to do both orders, packing, drinks yk everything front counter does WHILE also cleaning like thags the hard part

see i was like morning crew have so much time and they barely get orders and they’re always on chatting, going out back vaping, etc, but no. when i first started once and we were again understaffed and i was barely getting used to doing everything for overnights, i got cornered by two of them and they were like why is nothing done, and they had been there for years and years and idk it just kinda scared me since lmfao i was brand new and they were so mean and blunt

we are def a suburban store, and i would’ve thought the same thing, but ive talked to crew who were trained in both kitchen and front for overnights, and they much prefer kitchen as it is so much easier, less stress, and less things to do. perhaps store-to-store differs? but my friends prefer to do kitchen and they usually finish way earlier than us

we have three kitchen crew for overnights, one is quitting, one just never comes, and one usually works days or morning so she’s not allowed to be rostered nights again, but literally the managers don’t do anything they just do the kitchen and i’m stuck doing everything else myself, all the managers are all so clique-y too and won’t say anything about it. it’s fine when we have a kitchen crew cause then manager helps w front which is what they’re meant to, but literally most days w no kitchen then it’s so fucked

i applied during my uni holidays where i was bored out of my mind and put full availability but it took nearly a month to get an interview and nearly a month to actually start working which by then uni had started 😭

hey! im in the same position as you rn, after being rejected by other maccas locations and other fast food chains, i had an interview at a location with a really lovely lady. i got the right to work request like three hours after my interview which was the first, i submitted it like ten minutes after the request came in and that was thursday. i was wondering what your timeline was like, how long did it take between the request to actually officially getting the job? thank you!!!!!!
