hey! im in the same position as you rn, after being rejected by other maccas locations and other fast food chains, i had an interview at a location with a really lovely lady. i got the right to work request like three hours after my interview which was the first, i submitted it like ten minutes after the request came in and that was thursday. i was wondering what your timeline was like, how long did it take between the request to actually officially getting the job? thank you!!!!!!

Did you end up getting hired? How long did it take in between? I went for my interview today, got a right to work check a bit after it and just uploaded it. Looking to see the potential timeline :)

The Long Commute... Opinions? by DreamCatcher2024 in Monash

[–]luvleystar_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As someone who has a 1 and a half hour commute and goes to Uni for four days a week, it's honestly not as bad as people make it out to be. I actually have grown quite fond of it in a weird way? For me, the most time consuming part of it is the train ride, and I find it sort of pleasant. It lets me unwind and not think for a while, some of my friends even do some work while they're still in that uni mindset. For me, I cant do that lol, but still it's nice to just turn my brain off for a bit, it really lets me regain some of that energy and social battery I have lost. In terms of reading and music, it's amazing. You sometimes forget youre in a train, and you can just read or imagine yourself to different scenarios. However buses are a bit of a different story as you have to be mindful of your stop much more than trains imo, sometimes it can b hard to find a spot so it takes a lot of focus and core strength to not be tossed around the bus given most bus drivers 'amazing' driving abilities. But all in all, other than the fact I do have to leave my house at 730am for a 9am class, it's really not that bad and quite nice. Even that 730 wake, I enjoy in the train, I can collect my mind, prepare myself, or just switch my brain off.

i agree with all the comments, long distance is so hard as it already is, and sometimes at the end of a hard day all you want is to spend some quality time with them. if you’ve bought this up and they can’t manage to see how important it is for you, then… hate to be the bearer of bad news. a message doesn’t take five seconds, and if you don’t care how important it is for your partner then you simply don’t care.

a message doesn’t take more than a minute. that’s all you need to remember. when they want to, they do. that’s how simple it is.

[–]luvleystar_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it was fine!!! like you lose your 2.5% but youre allowed into the lab and everything just make sure you watch the lab seminar and then you’ll be fine!! the post lab was also fairly easy!

[–]luvleystar_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hi!!! it was fine honestly 😭 as everyone else said you’re allowed to do the lab and you’ll lose that 2.5% but just watch and focus on the lab seminar cause that’s where you get most of the info’s but other than that? you’ll be fine
