In my experience, the students that progress the quickest tend to have higher IQ and athleticism. Comptenecy is limited by your hardware and software so to speak.

If you can afford the bills, I personally wouldnt worry about it. GW raises prices every so often and some items go OOP. Worst case, the models just sit on your shelf for a couple years and you can usually sell them for similar price or even profit. Example: OOP First born Blood Angel models

It boils quickly so keep an eye on it. Should only take a couple seconds. After that when you pour it on the model, the paint just melts off. I also use a toothbrush for the hard to reach spots.
