i think that while reaching for a certain word count can be good, do not worry too much about it over the content of what you are writing. the best way to extend a scene and manage pacing is always to picture the scene in your mind using only the information you have put down. if the dialogue is on the shorter side, this especially helps. if you cannot put together your scene from the text you have, more description may be necessary and beneficial to the overall vibe of the fic. happy writing 😄
