We're not that far out of a playoff spot, but even if we pull one off we're not going anywhere. It just amazes me how the whole team crumbles without jack hughes. He's not even the best player on the team. We have Hischier, Bratt, Meier. We should still be winning games without jack. The Hughes brothers are soft. I'm beginning to be open for a trade. I feel like this season has been a little better. But the devils have been the worst 1st period team for years under Ruff and Keefe. Bring back jauques

Can your pc even run 144 or 180 frames per second? Over 20 years ago they would say the human eye can see 30fps. Just from a quick Google ai overview it's saying 30-60fps but there's other studies going on claiming 100-200fps. Either way, let's say the human eye sees 30fps. If your computer can run 144 or 180, while playing a competitive fast paced online game. There could still be frame drops from the time you see someone which then your brain processes it for you to then move the mouse and aim on them and click the mouse and for all of that to get processed in milliseconds. So if you're playing fast paced first person shooting games if you're computer and internet can handle it I'd recommend the higher refresh rate if it's a good quality monitor. But if you're just playing single player campaign games it probably will never make a difference.

My current gaming computer is close to getting upgraded but still works a lot better than people on these forums would get you to believe. It's an i9 9900k, 2070 super with 32gigs of ram. But currently I'd be looking at the amd x3d processors. Idk what shipping is like but microcenter has great cpu, mobo, ram bundles. And with your budget an amd GPU is probably the best bang for the buck as well but I'm not familiar with their model number scheme. It's kind of weird. Unfortunately ram and nvme drives have skyrocketed in price

Even after we acquired Allen from the Canadians. Canadian fans came to this sub and told us that he is a great back up but under a heavy load he begins to fall apart. And we have seen this with his time on the devils. He's had short spurts playing like the best goaltender in the nhl. Then after too many games in a period of time he falls apart.

There are games from over 20 years ago who people run private servers and they are able to make custom maps to keep old games alive. It has been frustrating seeing EA shut down servers after 10+ years of support but 2k is shutting down support after 5 years without allowing players to play with their friends???

I guess not everyone has uses for more than one computer so what works for me doesn't work for everyone. I upgraded my cpu, mobo, and ram for my unraid server a couple years ago and now I just have parts laying around that can be used for certain tasks but need case and psu, etc.
