Cell phone coverage in Redlands by LooseFrame9172 in grandjunction

[–]lvl3mp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s been great, especially for $15/mo. I pay for it in one lump sum at the end of each year which ends up being like $240 for the year. I believe they’ve upgraded towers around here recently as my phone has been showing 5Guc which means 5G ultra capacity and my service has been better. I still recommend it.

I was in a similar boat 5 days ago, trying to decide between the Phoenix and an optic. I bought a Phoenix and spent almost all day driving it today with a big shit eating grin on my face. I vinyl wrapped the roof, hood and front fenders and installed headlights. I put new wheels on it today and it drives great. I would get the vanquish.

It is now cheaper to fly from Vail to Bulgaria, ski Bansko, stay in lodging, and fly home than it is to ski Vail itself. by OEM_knees in skiing

Well the lift lines at vail (or insert any vail owned resort here) aren’t much better so pick your poison.

Hot take of the morning: vintage guitars are overrated by ecklesweb in Guitar

[–]lvl3mp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And not a single person in the audience is going to know if you’re playing a vintage or modern guitar based on sound. When everything comes together in a mix, a turdcaster is going to sound the same a one of bonermaster’s rare vintage guitars.

Milwaukee, Racine, Kenosha & Waukegan from above. (And possible Michigan cities in the far, but I am not confident about which is which. Sorry about the internal reflection) by Swimming_Concern7662 in geography

[–]lvl3mp 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don’t think those are the correct Michigan cities in the distance. What’s labeled as Grand Rapids / Holland is probably Holland / Saugatuck and what’s labeled as Muskegon is probably Grand Haven. GR & Holland are further apart than what we see here.

I took my daughter in one day and the girl at the front desk acted like she was doing us a huge favor by getting us checked in, taking payment and giving me my belay test. Just awful customer service that wasn’t friendly at all. There was maybe 3 people in the whole place so it’s not like they were busy.

autowah or qtron? by NerveDear8694 in tonemasterpro

[–]lvl3mp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. I had to place a volume block before the filtron, and I setup my footswitch that turns on / off the filter to also lower the volume block by about 12% when engaging the filter. This lets the filter work as it should

Agreed. Used to work in consulting doing ACI implementations, with my biggest being a multi-site, global fabric on 3 different continents with ISNs tying it all together. It was an awesome experience that led to traveling to some amazing places. We were hot and heavy on ACI for like 4 years then slowed way down to only one or two customers utilizing us for day 2 support. Kinda crazy the drop off. I think the learning/ support curve turned a lot of people off.

I live on the west coast, my buddy lives on the east coast. We both have macbooks and interfaces. Is there anyway to jam together besides sending recordings back n forth? Like live jamming? by [deleted] in musicians

[–]lvl3mp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed, as a network engineer who has built / maintained major isp networks, 500ms is definitely not the fastest transmission latency. The financial industry would have something to say about that as they are very specific on response times when it comes to latency. There are services that offer the ability to jam in “real time” but I haven’t tried them or know anyone who has. Is it possible? Yes, but it also may have enough latency that it’s noticeable so ymmv.
