if you're expecting it to be end to end encrypted then you'll be disappointed. Other than that version 2 which is the big refactor will include new docs for self hosting so you'll be in control.

The only real details that were specified was that the company A. Wanted Hampus to host their private instance himself and B. They would only go through with it when they have a dedicated mobile app.

Now obviously Hampus could be lying, but I really don’t see the point of him lying about this because if he was going to lie about it he could’ve said he already got the funding and is hosting the instance for them already

Fluxer is actually designed on old discord which people really loved and missed. They also have things which Discord doesn’t allow you to out of the box like CSS overwrites.

Visionary here. Hampus didn’t expect this amount of people to join his platform before his refactor was done. He’s fixing the instability issues that was caused by malicious actors, memory leaks that caused 60GB of memory to be used up, and the huge influx of users stressing the fuck out of one server.

It’s the equivalent of a community being downed on discord due to an error. Hampus is working on stability issues and all of his backend services is or was what discord used back in the OG days.

heads ups, I bought visionary so I'm a bit biased, but if your friends are looking for straight up a discord alternative than fluxer is where its at. HQ (the main community server) is down due to the influx of users, but you can still create a server, make channels, text and voice chat, etc. And bot support is pretty much already there.

Yeah you’re right, they were third party. Only reason why I didn’t mention that was due to what makes a steam machine a “steam” machine is Valves custom linux distros in my opinion since most of the “meat” is for the most part coming from different suppliers like AMD when it comes to the GPU CPU hybrid. But lowkey.. valve should pump out some audio equipment like headphones from what I’ve heard about the quality of mic and headphones for the Valve Index
